I actually mean the opposite. I'd decrease the taper. Right now, the pants are pretty tight. IMO the balance would look a lot better if everything got wider. Maybe up the thigh 1" or so and taper down to a slightly wider leg opening. JMO, I know how slim of pants people like it a subject of constant debate.

@luxire
How long does the linen sale last?
post #21873 of 24668

Managed to take advantage of the linen sale, ordered a linen button-down shirt and some grey trousers to play the summer counterpart to my grey flannels, along with a blue shirt and olive moleskin trousers.

It's a shame that the pound is diving against the dollar, making Luxire about 20% more expensive in the UK than it was at the beginning of last year.

Similar situation here in Canada, the sale just brings everything down to the previously "normal" price

Well, if Trump gets the Republican nomination....

I usually go with the Luxire standard button down collar for shirts that I will not wear with ties.

How does that compare to BD collar here? http://brokeandbespoke.tumblr.com/post/94446897488/ordering-this-collar-from-luxire-ive-received-a

I have both collars. Both have a nice collar roll. I prefer the Luxire one, though, as the B and B collar roll is a little bit more than I normally like.

^^The pants taper is too agressive to the ankle/knee for my tastes, but it is just "taste" of course.

Does anyone have any opinions on which fabric I should choose: " Linen natural ecru hopsack", or "linen natural ecru pants" ?

I want something that is wearable throughout the summer, but it would be nice if it could be worn at times when it's a bit cooler as well without looking too summery.

Would either one be more resistant to dirt and stains?

I wore the linen hopsack fabric throughout the summer last year in Chicago, which was mild. I also wore it into the fall. It is a heavy weight with an open weave. Highly recommended, too bad it doesn't come in other colors.

Do you find that it looks closer to white or to a tan? I've had some issues with the colour something appears on my monitor being different than in true colour.

I'm personally not a fan of white trousers which  led me to lean towards the other ecru linen (which appeared darker in the pictures), but I think I'll take your recommendation and go with the hopsack.
