Gents

Has anybody else ordered the graphite green chinos (http://luxire.com/products/graphite_green_soft_plain_chinos)?

Mine arrived last week and they look distinctly brown, not green. From a distance or in the shade they could be mistaken for a dark green, but up close in the light, I think they look shiny dark brown.

I don't have a swatch to compare it to, so wondered if anybody else who has them could provide their thoughts before I query this with Luxire.

Tom

I have a pair and I do agree that they are more brown than green. I was more bothered by the shiny finish to begin with. The shine disappeared after a couple of washes and I now find them quite versatile.

I don't have the graphite green but I do have a pair of rust brown chinos, from the same "line" (both are used in the trial trousers). I do indeed find them quite shiny. Glad to know that in a couple of washes it will be all gone!

Good to hear. I received these recently and couldn't believe the shine. Might just wash them 4-5 times before wearing.

The shine doesn't really bother me, but I'd prefer the pants without it. I'm tempted to wash them a couple of times.

I have the Graphite Green chino and I have to say that my pair is in fact darker than the pair shown on Luxire's site, but nowhere near brown.

What kind of information are you looking for?

Like VBC, Delfino is a mill or what one can call, "mill to mills". Most of the fabrics they make are sold under other brand names.

As Delfino does not sell much to tailors and did not provide a cut-length service, not many people know about them.

We started working with Delfino a few months ago and have been doing our tests on their different collections.

Looking at their quality and the growing variety of their collections, we should we seeing a lot more written about them in the future.

We have been getting emails and requests for Loro Piana Storm System fabrics for a long time. If we get these fabrics, what would you want to get made? What are the preferred colors?

Overcoat and peacoat the most likely candidates. Obvious colours would be camel, navy and charcoal grey but other colours might be useful (if available) such as cognac, light grey and maybe even off-white. Also patterns like herringbone.

Dog coat?

In all seriousness, I'd be interested in a lightweight unlined raincoat, price dependent. Colour would probably be camel / cognac.

I second this, my chihuahua/shiba inu mix needs a coat and there's so much junk on the internet.

So I received my latest Luxire trouser order, and there's still much to do. Luxire has been helpful by suggesting alterations for greater ease around the crotch area, but the trousers still drape badly. I've decided to take matters in my own hands and let Luxire know what to do instead of taking small steps according to Luxire's suggestions since this is my 3rd or 4th order and only I know what the problem is really since I'm the one wearing them.

Below are two pictures. The first is of how the trousers fit upon arrival and the second is after I pinned the them (scooping out the seat and lifting the back). Basically, I've gotten rid of excess fabric. There's still some adjustments to do to get rid of the small creases left, but I think I'm making some progress. I had much room around the seat area before I pinned the trousers. But after the pinning procedure, I've found myself with a bit of pocket flair (understandably).

My question is; what should I do next? Send Luxire the pinned trousers and ask them to replicate the order# with the changes according to the pinned pair? And what should I ask from them regarding the pocket flair? Should I ask them to add some back hip width at the side seams or the center back seam?

Does the test fit shirt fabric shrink much more than other fabrics? Prior to washing, the one I ordered measured very closely with what I specified, but after washing the shirt shrunk noticeably (at least 1/2 inch) in the shoulders, sleeves, and waist.
