+1 I can't advocate for Royal Oxford highly enough. If you like texture enough to clearly differentiate a shirt from "plain" white (which, as a staunch pro-white shirt man, plain white is just fine to be sure), royal ox is the weave you want.

I would recommend just getting it lined to the knee, I am glad that is what I did with mine. Assuming you are wearing calf length (or higher) socks, you don't have to worry about any itchiness/roughness on the skin in the unlined part anyways.

+2  If you are looking for more variety in texture you can also looks at herringbone fabrics.  They are basically a variation of twill and they also tend to drape nicely.  Some dobby fabrics can work too, but there is more of a range of quality there.  Some of those "self-stripe" fabrics in the site might be good contenders, but I haven't tried any of them.

Thanks!

Any recommendations within the Luxire collection?

Wonder if Luxire can do a slightly thicker poplin. I haven't tried it yet, though

I recently got my first test shirt in Soft White Twill 100/2. It doesn't wrinkle much, not see through, and generally of a high enough standard for business/formal attire. I'll be getting more with some minor sizing changes.

Depends on how much you want to spend, I have these two:

http://custom.luxire.com/products/grandi_calliope_b_00045_00501_fine_twill_white

http://custom.luxire.com/products/grandi_sky_roy_b_14937_00031_fine_white_royal_oxford_200-2

I find them both to be of great quality for suit shirts, but if I was wearing the shirts more casually, I'd have gone for something a little thicker...though the twill is pretty solid. I think it's more wrinkle free than the royal oxford in this particular case.

I have been pretty impressed with all the Luxire fabrics I have ordered over $80. I think one time I went less, the shirt was still a good value, but there was something just a bit "off" about the feel.

Thanks guys, I'll send in a shirt to be copied. What about the single vs double cuff - should I send one of each for them to copy for the relevant orders?

@luxire Any sense of what's happening with the Minnis flannel sale (specifically 0307)? Thanks.

Not happening sadly.  Did not receive a warm response from the mill.

Here is what we can do.  Will offer this pair of pants for $199.99 instead of $299.99, only if we receive 15 orders so that we can buy all the fabric they have available.

I just got this twill and really like it:

I haven't tried any of the royal oxfords that Luxire offers yet, but I imagine that any of the Grandi & Rubinelli ones would be good.
