Sorry for the post a couple of pages back. As a newb I got my terminology wrong so I now realize my post makes no sense. This is what I meant:
I'm thinking of having a best fitting sport coat sent in for copying and I wanted to as a few questions from you more experienced gentlemen.
1. For the first copy I was thinking of a classic navy blazer. Are there any fabrics in particular that you've had a good experience with? I'm looking for something that would be 3-season/all-season wear, probably towards the dressier/more formal end of the spectrum.
2. Should the blazer have natural or padded shoulders? My best fitting jacket has natural shoulders, but I'm not sure if that would look strange on a blazer. Also, would fabric type be a factor in terms of the shoulders holding its shape?
3. Finally, does anyone know what type of jackets Luxire makes (fused, half-canvased, full canvased)?
Many thanks, and sorry for the clueless previous posting
I'd say perhaps a navy hopsack? Very versatile. May not be as dressy as you desire, depending on your occasions to wear it, but you'll certainly look sharp.
Shoulder construction will be dependent upon your build, though if you've gone (and like) the natural/soft shoulder, I see no reason to change it up.
I believe Luxire would make whatever you like, but, given that there's no up charge for either half/full canvass (I don't believe), I'd see no reason not to go full.
