I'm thinking of having a best fitting sport coat sent in for copying and I wanted to as a few questions from you more experienced gentlemen.

1. For the first copy I was thinking of a classic navy blazer.  Are there any fabrics in particular that you've had a good experience with?  I'm looking for something that would be 3-season/all-season wear, probably towards the dressier/more formal end of the spectrum.

2. Should the blazer have natural or padded shoulders?  My best fitting jacket has natural shoulders, but I'm not sure if that would look strange on a blazer.  Also, would fabric type be a factor in terms of the shoulders holding its shape?

3. Finally, does anyone know what type of jackets Luxire makes (fused, half-canvased, full canvased)?

Many thanks, and sorry for the clueless previous posting

I'd say perhaps a navy hopsack? Very versatile. May not be as dressy as you desire, depending on your occasions to wear it, but you'll certainly look sharp.

Shoulder construction will be dependent upon your build, though if you've gone (and like) the natural/soft shoulder, I see no reason to change it up.

I believe Luxire would make whatever you like, but, given that there's no up charge for either half/full canvass (I don't believe), I'd see no reason not to go full.

What if you order i.e. one shirt and a pair of pants for $150 each = $300 total. Which code would work then?

Does anybode know, if it would also be possible to have one order shipped in two intervals?

For Example: I order 4 pair of pants in order to benefit from the 15% off, have one shipped right away, and after those have arrived and I had the chance to alter them I will get the other ones shipped?

Yes you can do this. Just order the pants and wait to fill in the details on the last 3 pairs - write "instructions coming later" or something to that effect in the notes.

Order placed! @Luxire thanks for the discount code! You enticed me to place an order despite the poor Canadian dollar.

I'm wondering the same thing. I would like to order a navy Chesterfield coat but haven't made my mind up whether to go for the 16 oder 25 oz cloth... has someone had any experiences with one of these cloths or might recommend an alternative? Thanks in advance, hopring to be able to pull the trigger soon.

My guess would be that the code expires at midnight.

I'd love to hear more about the Chesterfield coat, once you order it.  I was thinking about getting one myself, but I need to get some more basics first. If I were you, I think that whether you go 16 or 25oz depends with how cold it gets where you live.  I'm sure Luxire can do a nice job with either.

This is what I did, and I really like the results. The shoulders were a natural soft construction with a fairly substantial shoulder pad which I asked to have reduced in the second coat. For the second one, I went with a tweed, and I made some small adjustments (1/4" here and there) to the fit of the cotton version, which fit well by the way but I wanted a few minor changes. They are full canvas, and the construction is fantastic. I am really excited to see the tweed.

I think if you go with a navy cotton and get the fit the way you want, sky is the limit for later iterations, in which you can do any cloth you want.

Good luck, DL-

This was basically, the plan that I have. I already have an eye on some nice tweeds for the 2 and 3rd coats. The only difference is that I was thinking of going for a dressier, wool blazer first.  I had not thought about doing a cotton, but I guess that would be a safer way (and less costly, if for some reason the fit does not work out the first time around).  Great suggestion, thanks!
