Got my second and third pair of pants: Grey / Black Houndstooth (sold out matl) with DAKs and stitch creasing and Copper Chinos.

Construction on both is incredible.

The houndstooth material is really nice. It Iooks much more expensive than it really was. Fit is excellent once again, but I haven't measured them as of yet.  I'm wearing them today. Got compliments already...

The copper chinos are much more substantial than I thought. A little snug in waist (just loops no DAKs), but I measured it and it's exactly on spec with what I ordered. I think the thickness/stiffness of the material is the culprit and not anything to do with Luxire or my measurements. I'll have more to say after having worn them all day tomorrow.

I wouldn't do that regardless. It's a bit risky if something doesn't come out right. That's why I won't go to a lot of the shirtmakers who want minimum order quantities. The risk is all on you if the measurements don't work out.

I'm fine with it only because luxire offers the service of remaking them once if there is any mistake either on their part or yours. plus i've ordered a few shirts now and have the measurements down perfectly, so that's not really an issue. but i do understand your point

So am I. After this bunch I will have 8 oxford cloth shirts from Luxire plus another three from PRL, so I would say that is quite a decent amount of shirts for everyday use.

Any other users thoughts about everyday shirts? I'm 100% going to get a white FC shirt for the most formal of occasions and a pale blue dress shirt (button cuff), but other than that?

Suggestions for casual shirts worn under sweaters most of the time? Should I get stripes or other check shirts before I get any gingham patterned ones? I should add that I'm quite keen on getting a few of the gingham patterned cloths they have at Luxire.

I seldom wear a SC, and the white and the pale blue will cover me when wearing a suit and tie, so this is just for casual.

I'm pretty much exactly in the same boat as you. I got a white shirt for more formal occasions, planning to get a light blue. And want to get together about 10 or so total shirts for casual wear- already have about 4 shirts.

Can anybody comment on the fit of RTW/clearance shirts?

I am told by Luxire that they are regular fits slightly slimmer than other brand's regular shirts. But when I look at the RTW measurements and compare the chest size for other brand's (Brooks, Land's, etc) regular fit shirt's chest size, Luxire's chest size seems about 10 inches bigger. For instance, 15.5 & 34/35 Luxire shirt's chest size is 47, when Brook's Brother is around 38.

Does this mean they are measuring a different area for chest measurement?

Check eBay for actual measurements on Brook's non-alphabetical sized 15 1/2 - 4/5 shirts and I think you'll find they're much closer to the 47" (doubled) pit-to-pit. Here's one example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121077753656

That looks promising. Can you post a pic of it in action and remind us of the price?

That is really quick, I just hope all the measurements are spot on for my first large order and instructions are followed.

Hmm, I'm having trouble getting a response about the status of my single shirt ordered 21 March. :-/

I have a white FC shirt, but it's way too short in the sleeves, otherwise it's actually quite OK. I also have a light/pale blue shirt but that's too tight in the chest, so both needs replacing.

Already cleaned up my shirt collection and out goes eight shirts. They are all too short in the sleeves, some of them are too tight and all of them are of a terrible fabric and quality. I will give them away for charitable purposes, doesn't make me feel that bad for just throwing out clothes. tounge.gif

Well, the other two orders I've placed at Luxire were completed and shipped in about 1,5 weeks time. This time I got the shipping notification in five days, but I don't know why. Hope your ordered is ready to ship soon. :)

Will do as soon as I have the time. The grey houndstooth are really comfortable so far. Very soft. I was expecting them to be too thick for warmer climate, but not bad so far.
