This would be a hilarious explanation

I have a classic blue oxford myself, which is about 8 months old, no fuzzyness at both sides. The classic red is very fuzzy at the outside, but much less at the inside.

Attached two pictures of the inside of the placket. Outside of the fabric right/top, inside left/bottom.

Obviously, the white balance of the classic blue is way off.

Out of curiosity, what would you all recommend as a good collar style to wear without a tie? I essentially never have to wear one at work, so need something that looks good without a tie or jacket to keep it together.

Smaller collars preferred as I'm a small guy, the default BD looks far too big on me.

Small guy as well and I request the following measurements on my button-downs:

Please make collar back height: 4.50cm
Please make collar points: 6.50cm

I have to say that on my one order thus far, my customer service has been great. I sent Luxire a PM on here asking about some special requirements for a shirt that I wanted made, and they got back to me, with a quote, in about 24 hours, give or take a few. I then placed the order (one with tons of requests) and emailed them immediately after with attached pictures, and Luxire replied back saying that they got my email. That response was also to the tune of one or two business days. I've yet to receive my order, but I only placed it a week or so ago, so its still well within reasonable time frames, and I've got no complaints so far.

So I guess, it seems that things can be a touch hit or miss on the communication side of things, as some members post having great experiences thus far, like myself, and others have posted about less than ideal services.

Checked my BD in classic red oxford now. Same thing: the oxford fabric is quite fuzzy on the outside and somewhat nicer on the inside. It is as if they have made it with the wrong side out.

Let's see what they answer. At worst it's another thing to remember to specify with future orders. Hopefully they'll sort it out.

Yes, I would describe it exactly like this. The fabric is almost like flannel. Not what I was hoping for in this shirt since I've ordered the same fabric in the past and I live in a fairly warm climate. Will update with Luxire's response once I hear back.

Theresa responded that the fuzzier fabric was a change for the winter and they are discontinuing changes like this in the future.

I suppose I'll just keep the shirt since I'm planning to wear it casually with jeans and it should be nice in colder weather. I already have the lighter Sky Blue Oxford for warm weather. I just wish they hadn't made an unannounced change to a fabric I already ordered in the past, expecting to receive the same thing.

With the Classic Blue Oxford, it's fuzzy on both sides.

To preface, I do not have a "standard shape" I have a big waist and short inseam, which pretty much eliminates all selvage denim options for me. Oh and I despise button fly, and for 99$ I was more than excited to give these a run.

I have purchased 4 pairs, the first pair I donated to Good Will. I measured my "best" fitting jeans and they were HUGE when they got to me, unwearable. Which admittedly was 100% my own fault. I also noticed the bottom hem was 1/2" up from the bottom, most jeans are at 1/4"-3/8" which I noted for the second pair.

Then I sent in measurements from a custom pair of dress pants, and this pair was much, much better. I should note that my dress pants fit more like jeans, shorter rise ect. because of my body type. The only issue was the yoke seam in the back, which was straight across and reminded me of carpenter jeans from the 90's, which was not flattering on me.

I then made some minor adjustments to the size, .25" here and there, as well as details for the back yoke with images, and ordered 2 more pairs. I am still waiting on the delivery of the last two pairs. I will report on these when they arrive.

Even though it was my fault, Luxire only charged me for the CMT price to replace the first pair, and refunded that amount when I ordered 2 more pairs. They did not have to do this, and I could not be happier with the communication and service I have received.

Construction is good, stitching is spot on, have not had the chance to beat them up yet, but I can report back once I rotate the 2 pairs I am waiting on. I asked for solid copper rivets as well not sure if that will happen or not but my fingers are crossed.

Honestly if you are looking for selvage denim jeans that are a realistic inseam and zipper fly, they work really well, and the price is unbeatable. My next move is to order some Selvage Cone Demin to have CMT'ed.

Hey DavidLane,

Have your jeans arrived yet? I'm thinking about getting some jeans made up and curious how your latest in-progress order turned out.

Thanks!

Well, this came. And it's perfect.

Excuse the crooked placket. Happened when I snapped the picture.

This shirt is ridiculously comfortable. Wow.

Blue Dress Stripe Seersucker. Fantastic. I just wish I could justify ordering more than one.

But for now.. HOPEFULLY the last linen for the season. **** gets expensive.

I REALLY wanted the Red/Ecru seersucker, but I don't like the ecru in it. If it was red/white, I'd have ordered it for sure.

And again, the Washed Indigo Linen Chambray is a lot like the Brembana Indigo chambray in color.

How soft is the linen chambray? I feel like I read that it was rough or scratchy.

That's not a bad way to describe it. But I think it'll be fine after a few washes.

There's no Blue Dress Stripe Seersucker on the website. Do you think it's sold out?
