@timotune
and a new SC? That fabric looks very nice, I've been looking for something like that, didn't knew Luxire added it.

Thanks! Got the SC of Yoox, it is Cantarelli

I like Betelgeuse's collar, though I remember him not liking the tie space. I wonder, Timotune, whether it might just be a bit high for you? Might be the angle of the shot. I don't think it is perversely high as is...I favor high collars myself, but if one were picky you could probably drop it a quarter inch in the front, still have some tie space but not too much, along with nice front collar height (say two of the green stripes in front...about 1cm?).

Edit: BTW, I like your color pairings here. Striking but well considered

Thanks. I do think that the angle makes the collar look too high. Will try to post a real fit-pic soon.

Nice shirt. What's the tie?

Thanks. Tie is a 8,5cm silk-knit from Jungmann & Neffe, a pretty famous store here in Vienna.

Looking to order swatches to decide on fabric for an overshirt. I'm looking to replicate the Armoury safari jacket / shirt jacket pictured:

or

I'm thinking of ordering the following. However, I want it for warmer weather, so am looking at something light.

navy-linen chambray.
washed indigo linen chambray.
navy-cotton linen chambray.

However, ordering a heap of other swatches etc. and want to keep costs down. Can anyone comment on the above fabrics and their likeness to the images? Ruled out the brembana chambray as it sounds too hot for me.

If you think about the Navy Cotton Linen Chambray LCP-1293 and the Navy Brembana Chambray is too heavy for you, you will dislike the LCP-1293 even more. It's thicker and more densly woven and seems like trousering and not shirting. The hand and texture are very very nice. The Washed Indigo Linen on the other hand feels as substantial as the Brembana Navy, but is more loosely woven. The Cotton Linen Blue Chambray feels lighter and is lighter in color than the Brembana or Washed Indigo, it is a vibrant airforce blue.

just got my new green-stripe shirt today. had to try it on before the first wash, so don't mind the awful tie knot.
Got the premium MOP-buttons for the first time. They are worth the 20$ imho.
Fabric is: http://luxire.com/products/white_green_dress-stripes
Collar is a creation by Beatelguese

I like this shirt collar. I'd be interested in the measurements of the collar band height (front/back) and point length.

Not liking the shirt in combination with this unquestionable great jacket, though.

The individual jacket screams for a Gep Gambardella commemoration fit.

If timo used the same as me, here they are, Clapey

That looks great! What's your order nr? Unfused/lightly lined? Would you change anything about the collar?

Thanks, mate!

Order number was #5180
Soft fused, soft interlining collar.

And in terms of changing something, yes. The measurement from the front. One centimeter less in the front. This one (Luxire) looks good but sits a bit high in the front part. The other one (Barba) sits perfectly.

Here are some pics of the Hunt Winterbotham grey glen plaid flannels that I got with my last order. The pattern is really nice up close, but the fabric basically resolves to a light grey from a distance. Either way, I highly recommend this fabric to anyone looking for a pair of lightweight flannels. The angle these pics were taken at was pretty low, so it's making my legs look ridiculously long and the rise really high, but it doesn't look that exaggerated IRL.

Overall I'm happy with the fit, but because of my pelvic tilt and bow legs, I still have problems with the pant legs falling cleanly. I also need to reduce the inseam slightly, I like a bit of break but these are still just a tad long for me. I sent these to Luxire as well to see if they could help with the bunching under the seat the issues with the way the pants fall near my feet.

I'm curious as to how they intend to fix that. Unfortunately, my "best-fitting" pair of pants have a bit of that problem, and when I send it in to be replicated eventually, I'd like them to address that issue.

I think it might have to do with reducing the back rise, because if you pull the seat of your pants up by half an inch or so, you'll see it disappear. Or maybe it might be more complicated, that's just my guess.

I"d love to also get some pants from luxire, but honestly I"m not about to play guinea pig with pants that cost $100 and up and then tweaking it from there. I would rather take my chances locally first.
