Newest edition from Luxire (purple pinpoint oxford). I have a lot of their oxfords and this is by far the thinnest fabric...fine by me though. They nailed all the measurements and requests.

Picked up my package with a scarf and moleskin trousers last night.

The scarf, this one

http://custom.luxire.com/products/wool-lined-cotton-scarf-tan-checks

is really nice. The blue in the fabric is soooooo vibrant, it really pops off the scarf and is a perfect addition to my blue heavy wardrobe. A great accessory. It's heavier and stiffer than other scarfs (it is 3 layers after all, compared to 1 thin layer for other scarfs) and it might need some break in time to loosen up. It also isn't all that warm feeling, I imagine that's because of the cotton outter layer. It just dosen't feel quite as cozy as a wool scarf.

I haven't worn the moleskin trousers yet, but will comment on the initial construction: freaking blown away. This is my second pair of pants from Luxire, and the previos pants were chinos. "We" didn't get the fit of those quite right, and the fabric combined with the fit made for an underwhelming pair of pants. These moleskins (I got brown, which is a darkish color) were clearly well made from the second I laid eyes on them. That is to say, the details of the construction, pick stitching around the fly and pockets for instance, were much more apparent.

The fabric is really neat. It looks like seude actually. It dosen't drape well (it kinda acts like cardboard) but it is comfortable!! I actually expect it to break in quite a bit...as it's so heavy, I think it'll need some time before it "works" right. Highly recommended for a warm winter pair of pants.

The fit with this pair is leaps and bounds better than the previous pair. I made a lot of adjustments at once, which made me nervous, but made them following the measuring guidelines on Luxire's website. I should be able to nail it on my next (3rd) pair.

Awesome!

Also ordered 13 swatches. Only got 3 :( but they were dugdale...

I think that's a great example of why Luxire needs to start getting some pictures of these fabrics being used for garmets instead of just a picture of the swatch.

Those pants don't look anything like I'd imagine they did based on the swatch.

How prominent is the blue overcheck "in the wild"?

Just to clarify guys. I copied the name of the fabric together with the measurments and instructions. I should have mentioned that I ordered 2 pairs of trousers and specified the measurments only for one pair. Fabric in the photos is the Light Grey Worsted Wool by Dugdale. The hrey hopsack with blue overcheck is significantly darker. I will do a photo shoot of the other pair this weekend.
Sorry for the that!

Beautiful, ammanati. I've been thinking of getting a wider waistband with a two-button closure myself but haven't decided on fabrics yet. The way the tab wraps around to the pocket seam is a cool detail, although I'd prefer the pleats to start right at the waistband instead of ~1" below it for a cleaner look.

Anybody have experience with this light grey hopsack fabric? I'm looking to replace a pair of light grey hopsack odd trousers that I just sold, but the weight on these looks really heavy (400-435g, 13-14oz). I'd be interested to see if anyone has handled this fabric yet and if it really is that heavy. I know with Dugdale sometimes it's tough to get a swatch.

I'd love to see pics of the lighter grey hopsack with blue overcheck. I think that fabric would look great made up as a full suit.

Thank you very much deadAngle. Must say that the waistband with two-button closure is really comfortable. Trousers sit nicely on the hips and there is no pressure on my stomach even during sitting - it was an important factor. You are right, I am also considering removing this 1" and start the pleats right at the top. Might help in illusion that my legs are actually longer than in reality ;)
