Game changer!

Today is a great day for men's clothing on the Internet.

Very tempting.

Are you getting close to formally launching the bespoke suit service? With the addition of these materialsl, I imagine that luxire must be gearing up for that.

$225/299 is pretty great value for a pair of trousers in those fabrics. Just the cloth itself probably runs about 150/220 respectively, not counting shipping (unless Luxire already stocks all of these, in which case, kudos).

I'm not familiar with minnis fabrics. I take it that those are good prices for dress trousers from that material? Am I correct about the materials use in fabricating a full suit?

Yeah it's certainly a great price. Not sure if Luxire orders fabric on an individual basis for each order, or if they buy in bulk, but either way, judging by the prices on this site (which I believe is the official owner/distributor of Minnis/Hardys etc – though I might be wrong), the actual construction of the trousers would come to about $75.

I have no personal experience with the fabrics either, but they are certainly used in full suits all the time, if that's what you were asking (sorry if I misunderstood). And they are very well respected manufacturers, you'll find their swatch books all over Savile Row and with other respected bespoke tailors.

Well for 1.5 metres, which is usually what a pair of trousers require, I think?

I'm excited to see my shirt if it ever actually reaches me.  First, it was factory backups which made a three day process turn into eighteen and now that its shipped US storms plus a "delay beyond our control" in Bangalore have pushed delivery from two days to five and counting.  Right now Fedex is listing it's delivery date as "N/A," something I've never seen before.

 

Still, all good things come to he who waits... no matter how impatiently.

I've got a delivery date of Friday, just got picked up seconds ago. I really hope that holds true. 

Might I ask if the orders are at a busy stage? Seems to be taking longer than usual for just shirts only. :) Just wondering no rush.

Same. This was for an order placed on 2/12. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
