^ I think semi-formal denim is an oxymoron and think jeans cut like dress trousers (high rise) would be somewhat incongruous. I would also never wear jeans with a tie personally; the formality contrast is too great. I can see them with an odd jacket, shirt and no tie, but that's about as far as I'd want to stretch it. If you are going to wear a tie, why not just get some moleskins.

I can see the dark indigo color work well and if by high rise you mean higher rise than normal jeans but still lower than dress pants, that is probably fine. I still think you have to ditch the tie when you wear them and stick to more casual tweed odd jackets vs. a more formal navy blazer.

You shouldn't wear jeans with a tie, but there's nothing wrong with wearing high waisted jeans and for example a tucked in OCBD and a corduroy jacket.

Here's a quick shot of the pale pink oxford I said I would post once I wore it. It's the perfect color pink IMO.

Thanks for posting this. You're right in saying its the perfect shade of pink. That shirt is for sure on my hit list now.

Shirt looks tight on your left (your right) arm pit area. It's pulling no?

I think that's just the way it looks in the pic with the fabric tucked under my arm. If anything, there's some excess fabric there that could probably get reduced a bit if I was being really picky. I thought about making the armhole a tiny but smaller, but that would probably be overkill. If I raised my arm up, you would be able to see the fabric, but with my arm flat against my side it looks like it's pulling even though it's really not. If the phone wasn't blocking the view on the other arm, you'd be able to see what I'm talking about - the arm is raised a bit and the fabric isn't pulling at all.

What do you guys think of this shirt? It's my first try. I have two "problems". First is the collar is so high it covers my Adams apple, so my usual collar size feels small, even though I can easily fit two fingers in the neck.

Second is that when retracting my shoulders the front chest splits slightly. I'm guessing the chest is too tight, but could it be because of too narrow shoulders? From the second picture it looks like there's another 0.5 inch on each side before the shoulder drops.

So I was thinking
+0.25 inches to collar
+0.5 inches to chest,
+0.75 to 1 inches to shoulders
-0.5 inches to waist.
+0.5 sleeves

Decided that it's more cost-effective to sell the Dugdale pair, and use the funds for future iterations with Luxire. Only wore this pair once, so if my measurements are close to yours, they're effectively a brand new pair of custom trousers at 25% off even Luxire prices: take a look!

How do you like the fabric on those? I'm planning on having luxire make a suit for my wedding next august, and am looking for a cool-wearing but still presentable fabric.
I recently received a sportcoat from luxire made from dugdale corduroy (to serve as a test before ordering a suit), and it turned out really nicely. A couple of minor alterations to be made, but I'm pleased overall.

Would you guys mind posting reviews of your fabrics on Luxire's site? It would really help us make more informed decisions, and it's much more accessible on each fabric's page, as opposed to posting it in the forum.

I've purchased three so far, and left reviews for 1, so I'll do the other 2 myself.

I haven't seen a review mail come around for my last two orders

Fabric is great. It's a perfect summer cloth, with the weave giving it some life/depth. It's also light without being at all see-through. It's a little prone to creasing, but that's what happens when you wear a lightweight wool. I think it's probably a very good choice for a modern/less formal spin on a traditional morning suit.

I don't like the review system they have, so don't use it. The reason being that from what I can superficially tell without actually submitting the form, it seems like you don't have a choice over the username you post the review under. No thanks.

I was a little confused about this too, but you can enter any name, and your email address. When you do a review it'll email a confirmation email, and that's it. For example, I just reviewed this as TAG:
http://luxire.com/products/pale-blue-dress-stripes

Ah, I see. I just tried that myself for this fabric. It gets me the Verified Reviewer badge, but not the Verified Buyer one (despite being logged into Luxire & using the same email address). But I guess that's enough for me to post up a few reviews for you guys tonight. Thanks!

Great, thanks much. I was thinking of using Minnis Fresco, but I gather that it's fairly see-through, especially in the lighter weight. As I'm likely to have my photo taken a painful number of times, I figured I'd better get something a little less transparent.

You're welcome.

I was just deciding on grabbing a few swatches and was struggling to remember which fabrics people were impressed by, and thought the reviews would be a good resource. I thumbs-upped your review!

I just added about 10-15 reviews, for all the fabrics I've ordered that are still available on the site. Hope they help people decide.
