This is a super-helpful pic. I already have some chinos (non-Luxire) in a very similar colour to copper. Now - assuming my initial Luxire trousers work out - I'm thinking about getting the cream, the bronze and maybe a better-fitting copper pair.

Very helpful, thanks a lot! I only ordered some light flannel from Dugdale on my side. I actually sent an order for another pair yesterday, this time in navy twill.
The cream will be on my wish list for summer. Problem is the size of my wardrobe even with 3 cupboards and a basement... I have to sell a lot of stuff.

Suit Jacket with working collars, patch pocket with flaps, hand made and hand finished all over.

Still a lot of room for improvement on the buttonhole finishing if you ask me. Even as a paid option (like an extra USD50-80), I would take it.

Anyone ordered a shirt in either of these fabrics?

Pale Blue Dress Stripes:
700
Blue Dress Stripes Twill:
700
I'd really appreciate some pics of shirts in either of these fabrics. Sorry to bombard the thread with a bunch of questions. :embar:

I ordered the former and it should hopefully arrive next week. I'll take pictures when I get it. Also with that order is a sample of the latter, I can try and put up a picture of that as well if I receive it.

Just got a shipping confirmation for my remade shirt. Here's the timeline:

Oct 11 - order placed
Oct 29 - PayPal charged
Nov 6 - order shipped

Nearly 4 weeks from ordering to shipping, probably will be a full calendar month by the time I get my shirt. Still very reasonable for online MTM, but not nearly the two weeks originally estimated. Luxire should be careful about consistently over-promising and under-delivering. I wouldn't mind orders taking a month as long as they tell me upfront that it will take a month. Hopefully my next order will be closer to two weeks that they have been estimating again recently.

Just got our first set of wool-silk pocket squares from print. Really pleased with the outcome.

25% Silk, 75% wool

I have a question about pant measurements.

When ordering shirts, folks on SF usually recommend adding 3" to the body measurement for a tight fit, and 5 inches for a slim fit. This advice has been spot on for me.

What are the guidelines for the following pant measurements for slim and regular fit? I'm thinking dress pants or chinos here, not a tight hipster look. Thanks for your advice. I'm 6'1", 175 lbs with a slim build.

1) Waist
2) Half Hips
3) Hip Front
4) Thighs
5) Knee
6) Ankle

Also how do you recommend an appropriate rise?

What's the consensus on the best way to go about having Luxire replicate an existing shirt? Measure it myself, or send it to them to replicate? Any feedback from those who've used either of these options?

I measured a bespoke shirt myself, including a custom collar, the details of which I wrote the additional info section. I also uploaded a photo of the collar to illustrate its measurements, in case they were unclear due to my not explaining myself well. They did it right.

A considered response to a similar query, which also addresses your questions.

Thanks for the link. I'm still unable to see how side tabs eliminate unsightly bunching of fabric when tightening your trousers at the waist. In my estimation, side tabs just move the bunching to the sides, as opposed to a belt where you don't really have control as to where they go.

How is this desirable over just getting a waist that fits? I know there are lots of cool things to try out, with Luxire not charging any extra for customization, but I'm still not seeing the value of this.

Of course you'd get a waist that fits. They're not going to cause unsightly bunching when you have the right waist size. So then you're wondering why have them at all, right? And the reason is that you'd (I'd) never want pants that fit snugly when your waist is at its slimmest during the day, because, say after lunch, your pants are going to be too tight, and then they'll be unsightly in a different way. We're talking about such a small difference that you wouldn't see bunching as your tighten/loosen the adjusters throughout the day, again provided you get the fit right.

The waist still should fit--the side tabs are just for that wee little bit of tightening required to get them to stay where they are supposed to. Same thing you'd do with a belt. I prefer them (or a Daks top) because I don't like wearing a belt with my dress trousers. The functionality is the same though.

If you're cinching them down to where you have huge folds in the fabric, that means the waist doesn't fit, and yeah--that's not a good look.

yeah, I have DAKS on all the pants I've had by luxire and for precisely that reason.

+1...my disappointment was allowing an order to go through for an out of stock item. I was given an option for a replacement but decided to wait until re-stock since it is one of my want fabric. I guess they will give me credit. The rest of my order is on its way..

Could you do pocketsquares with the NY subway / London tube map?

I think they'd look nice and I'd actually use them to rememeber what stops where.
