Authorized means they received the order. Paid means they began working on it. It's shipped once you get a tracking number

Silly question maybe, but the time it takes to go from authorized to paid is the time it takes them to receive fabric? And once you got tracking how long did shipping take?

it's just the time between when they receive your order and when they start to work on it. for me shipping took 4(!) business days.

All I would personally do is get them to use my BD collar, and 1 button barrel cuffs. Everything else I'd let them use my standard spec. As for lining, I never bother specifying anything. So far, the default choices they've used on my shirts are fine by me. I'm not a big construction-orientated person as long as it fits nicely and everything is sewn well enough that it doesn't fall apart... but I think that they seem to routinely leave OCBDs unlined and use a light interlining on anything else. I haven't even checked whether it's fused or not; it doesn't bother me either way, especially when it's this light a lining anyway. I'd be more fussed about that if it were a heavier lining. Other people care more about this stuff; you should ask their opinion instead of mine as it'll be more informed.

Yeah, they make their OCBDs in a specific way - from their website: "Button-down shirts are made using a soft unfused interlining. Classic Oxford button-downs are made unlined."

I'll send them an email and make them go for the standard choice in that resepct.

Yes, they're all the same collar; photo angle & being unironed accounts for any visual differences between them. Order number was #4164, but in truth I didn't really alter their standard very much: it has a 1.5" collar band with 3.5" points, and I just asked them to maintain a nice roll. On a more general point, I'm not entirely certain whether simply quoting another person's collar will generate the same visual appearance when worn. For example, different people have different builds/heights/etc, and so I think some personal experimentation will still be needed to get exactly the look you want. However, as a starting point, using another person's collar design is probably OK.
Cheers, thanks so much!

Any Britons here? Have you ever got hit by the customs when ordering from Luxire?

I got hit by customs. It was something like £4 or so.

Just received a swatch of one of the moleskin fabrics and OMG it might be the softest pant fabric I've ever felt. Unfortunately I don't think I have any use for pants that are such heavy weight.

I know it's been tossed around a few times in the past few weeks, but has anybody placed an order for a fall blazer or sportcoat? I'm tempted to order something tweed or hopsack, but none of the swatches so far I'm in love with. At 2 time the costs of pants it's not exactly at a experimental price point. Times a ticking though, and I don't want to get my order until December.

I've had no problems ironing my blue end-on-end linen.

I'm planning on ordering a corduroy sportcoat from them - just need to get my act together and send in an existing jacket. The main reason for me doing this is to get a tester jacket from them - I'm getting married next year and want to get a suit made by luxire, but don't want that to be my first jacket from them.

Sounds great, I'm getting swatches for some moleskin fabrics on my next order.

19-20 oz = very thick for trousers, right? And where do you live?
