The situation with the sports shorts sounds promising.

To those who own a shirt with the #1738 collar, would you say it is similiar to the following ones?

Looking at the site, you don't don't do pants in pure wool?

We have one currently available. Expecting delivery of a few heavy flannels in 10 days. Lighter, formal wool will take a bit longer.

Pretty similar. Here is the 1738 from my first order, lightly fused:

Here is what should be the same collar from my next order, unfused. I actually have not compared the two directly, but I swear this has a slightly wider spread. I like this look much better than the first personally. Maybe the difference has to do with it being unfused versus fused.

Can Luxire make a Tuxedo shirt? Pleated or pique front?

I too like the unfused version better.
Might be influced by my overall preference for the second shirt though.
Still I think the collars in my pictures look slightly different.
Do you too think the collar tips are even longer?
Also not sure whether the first few collars are fused or unfused.
The one of PG is definitely unfused.

To quote someone earlier who quoted Luxire (in jest), "absolutely"

I remember that someone had ordered an entire getup for his tuxedo, including a shirt, vest and bowtie. Its somewhere in the single-digit pages of this thread. I'm too lazy to go back and find it, though.

I have a Luxire tuxedo shirt with a pique front.

Excellent, and you like it?

Out of curiosity, did you go with a turndown or wing collar? Did you get the pique on the cuffs and collars as well?

n00b question: What's the difference between fused and unfused collars? Is it simply how they maintain their pointiness versus curling up at the tips? I like the second style steveoly posted.

Luxire, what is the strongest, warmest shirt fabric you offer? I want my test shirt to be something I can beat up and wear to work and not be too high maintenance. After a few such casual shirts I should have the fit perfect and can commence on more formal, luxurious shirt orders.

Thanks

~Johnny

I am generally happy with it. Ashish was happy to carry out anything I asked for, and they executed almost everything perfectly. I didn't ask for pique cuffs and collar, and I probably should have. I needed the shirt quickly, though, and I failed to research the options as thoroughly as I should have. Not at all Luxire's fault. They absolutely came through on the timing, though, and I had my shirt a few days before the event.

The one detail that I think was done incorrectly is the tab to connect the the front to the trousers. Even so, I was able to make it work.

I tried to find a picture, but I have nothing ready to hand.

Great, thanks SB. Don't worry about the photo, if you say it was well done, I believe you :)

You probably want the Warzone Oxford or the Warzone Plus Oxford. Keep throwing them in the machine for a decade or 2. Most of our classic oxfords would work well.

If you would rather go for the warmest, then some of our cotton flannels may be better choices.
