I still have a set of lovely buttons I bought from gshen before he started Vanda Fine Clothing.
Will hand it in for my first shirt.

Ashish, will the buttons that you are awaiting feature a lettering?

What's the best way to ship a shirt back for alterations? I've done price estimates on fedex and ups...shipping a shirt costs over $60...and then having to pay another $20 for it to get shipped back. The shipping costs alone don't make alterations feasible. Please advise. Thanks.

More options as far as buttons go would probably be a good idea. The current standard ones are alright, but I'd be down to pay a few bucks more for some really kickass ones.

Please share what you would mean by "kickass buttons".

If we can find a reliable supplier for the same, we will be glad to offer the option.

Ashish, regarding MOP buttons, have you spoken to Gerald Shen of Vanda Fine Clothing before?
He goes by the name of gshen on SF.
Before he found Vanda with his wife, I bought a set of buttons from him and I think they are very very nice.
He could sent them for a very reasonable price directly from Singapore for next to no shipping costs.
The thread he offered them in doesn't seem to exist anymore but maybe he still sells them or at least he knows where to source them.

Nice, but I would either change the font of the text or remove it completely. The current one makes the case look a bit cheap.

I may be biased but I think it looks better on the case than in the image where the reflections of light are making it look less subtle.

Next iteration, we may have a small Luxire logo on the bottom right instead.

Ha, well that's a good question, I guess I'm not quite sure how to describe buttons. I do like Luxire's standard buttons, but I guess I mainly feel that a few options would be nice. I really like some buttons I have gotten from Hwa Seng Textire (www.hst.com.sg), especially some of their trocas buttons like these: http://www.hst.com.sg/acatalog/T4507.html
I don't have any in front of me, but the main differences as far as i remember are obviously the shell itself, which is a bit less iridescent, and slightly more yellow/beige in color. The shape is a bit flatter and with an added ridge obviously, pretty much same thickness I think, but a bit larger in diameter. I like them.

Then again, I can always change out the buttons myself in about 30 minutes if it's such a big deal. Which it really isn't to anyone, except possibly obsessive nerds like us.

^Interesting that you'd prefer trochas over mop. I'm not a fan of the flat yellowness of trochas.

Can you guys confirm that Theresa got the email with the collar pictures for order no#2406 (the shirt jacket( haven't got a reply); no worries if the collars are done already.
