Spoke with Andrew yesterday and placed order today for Black Oxfords.  Excited to try these out.

I love the style of the Andrew Lock shoe line, but only purchased the double monks because they have the dainite sole. Any plans for additional shoes with dainite soles? I know the purists like leather soles, but I'm not taking any chances in the northeastern winters.

The boots will have a Dainite sole but they are still a few months away. However, I know that in the past people have added Topy rubber soles to their shoes and boots.

Hi Forumites and/or Andrew;

Bought my first pair of boots with Andrew last week, and today they arrived. Very happy with the finishing, leather quality, overall styling and overall comfort. However, a slight issue in fit - lengthwise and widthwise they're pretty much spot-on - no heel slippage, everything is comfortably snug. However, I have a higher instep, and it's causing some issues with the laces:

Figure 1. Opened laces

Figure 2. Everything else is pretty much fine - as you can see there is still some room in the width.

Would sizing up in width solve the problem, or would that just lead to a worse-fitting boot?

No need to obsess over closing the laces completely, as TD says these look like a good fit.

Looks good. I have a couple pairs of shoes with the same "issue" due to my orthotic insoles. Wouldn't worry about it.

Here's another nice shot from the recent photo shoot. Wes is wearing a kickass handmade MTM suit in lightweight 9.5 oz VBC flannel and Andrew Lock Northampton boots.

So tempted to pick up a pair of shoes for my birthday.

Thought I would post a photo of a suit Andrew had made for me. Fabric is Ariston blue herringbone 8.5oz. You will have to excuse my solo poses, photos were taken at the end of the night.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
