Looks great, do you know what lining was used in the collar; medium or softer lining? Looks like it's holding its shape, height and roll nicely.

It's their softest fused collar, the same one that we use on our 1-piece polo collar. That being said, if I had to do it over again I might pick one step up, something closer to medium. Hope that helps.

Love the shirt, but agree on the clip-ons. It seems to be an Armory / #menswear thing, but it just appears juvenile to me.

Looking sharp, Jeff. I like the idea of a one piece BD collar. The end result makes me think "louche American businessman on holiday in Capri." Though I must ask... what gives with the clip-ons? Y'all killing me with that noise.

Eh, I'm not sure why this is such a point of contention for people. I wear both and can see the relative benefits of each. I don't find clip-ons unappealing like some here do - in fact quite the opposite, I think they are somewhat charming.

It's possible that people have started to associate clip-ons with The Armoury since a lot of our vendors wear clip-ons. It's something that we've picked up on and adopted as well. Salva wears clip-ons, Liverano wears clip-ons, Koji does, the list goes on. I look up to those guys and so I copy them!

Personally, the only thing that bothers me about braces is when they are worn with pants that HAVE belt loops. To me, that looks silly and distracting.

And to be flat out honest, Salva forgot to stitch buttons on my waistband on this pair so even if I wanted to wear button-ins I couldn't!

Certainly does, thanks for that. I'm going to have Luxire attempt to create a shirt featuring this collar.

Me, too.

As GC said, it's pretty popular amongst The Armoury crew, but I just don't understand why anyone would wear a pair of $1000 bespoke trousers and then use clip-on braces that look like something from Men's Wearhouse.

Anyway, to get back on topic, the shirt looks nice, Jeff.

I've got a similar shirt with a one-piece capri collar from G.Inglese and it's lovely - a perfect summer shirt.

What is the achievement with this specific collar type?

Does it achieve a better collar roll, or does one get a camp collar BD for the aesthetic? It does visually look cleaner.

I think that it's partially for the aesthetic appearance, as it does look nice and has a lovely roll, and it's partially for the simple fact of having a shirt with a very light, one-piece collar.

It's rather like a fully canvassed jacket, or hand-stitching on clothing, or a seven-fold tie - it's not a detail that other people will really notice but it's nice for you to know that you're wearing something like that.

To me, it looks like the main benefit is that it's a real quality CM collar designed primarily to be worn without a tie - so many CM shirts are made with collars that are designed primarily to be worn with a tie (and as an afterthought, without). This style of collar feels casual but still at home with tailored jackets etc.

And I'm sorry, but I agree about the sadness of clip-on braces, espcially without a jacket - it starts to look like that horrible current wedding trend...

Thanks guys, I've come to quite like it and I'm happy with the way it turned out. I got it as a shirt to wear casually, with no tie, as it doesn't even have a top button. I stole the buttondown idea directly from Jiro - it was basically a copy.

And, c'mon those guys are wearing suspenders, A) with jeans and B) with friggin' belts, not the same at all!
