Alden MTO Boot Group Order via Alden DC - Page 20

7/30/2012 - UPDATE

As I expected it's a no go on the #4 WT boot. Just my opinion here, but I believe that #4 is scarce and is only given out occasionlly as a reward to it's best retailers from time to time. Just my opinion.

As for the Thor boot Kathy will know by mid September at the latest if the Thor gets the green light. Kathy has to run the make-up through her salesperson first & then the factory. It could be a little sooner, but I doubt it. If the boot gets the green light Kathy would expected that they would be ready for next spring or early summer.

It's up to us now if we want to stay the course with Kathy or approach another Alden retailer. My suggestion is to sit tight with Kathy & see how this develops for I firmly believe that's Kathy is our best bet for getting the Thor boot produced in a timely fashion.

Thank you CTYGGG - all systems go, I like this course of action.

I say stay with Kathy, she has been good enough to help us this far, so we should stay with her. It would be great if they could actually get them done that fast. Most are taking much longer to produce.

Another vote for sticking with Alden DC and Kathy. I at least wouldn't have expected the Thor boot to materialize before next summer anyway, so waiting until September to find out if Alden will make it isn't much of a loss. We can always contact someone else then, assuming that another store would for some reason get a different answer.

sounds good; any idea when we are supposed to pay if this gets the green light? I have some $ that are eager to get spend

My vote is stay with Kathy also.  Thanks, CTYGG!

+1 Kathy

Slab, as I understand it, payment due upon shipment.  However, I am not the authority on this matter.

I'm in for the Kathy/Alden DC plan -- many thanks, CTYGG!

The issue is settled & we shalll remain with Kathy @ Alden DC. Again the timeframe is mid September to get an approval for the Thor boot design from Kathy's rep. Kathy thought the boot would be produced by spring or early summer of 2013. Alden DC will ship international & payment is due upon shipment.

The MTO is open for anyone else to join in, as there's still room. As it stands rigt now we are in the 18-20 pair range. If you PM me to get added to the list PLEASE include your email address & your Barrie last size including width. Thank you.

Ha...I can vouch for that smile.gif

I am actually tempted to join in on this...just have another pair...Mine do not fit as well as I would like...

Sorry of this covered previously- but will this be Barrie last? ...and 360 welt or closed welt?

...and here is a pic IRL...not the best pic but gives you an idea:

I think it's identical to the ones you own.  Do you find they should be sized different than your normal barrie size?
