I was bummed to see that afinepairofshoes.com will no longer ship outside the EU, so i'm guessing no shipments to the USA?

True, and methinks it's a bad business decision.

Stupid commercial decision if a large proportion of their sales are from non-EU countries. But I guess the decision might have been made for them by AS so that they can enlist more retailers for other markets.

i'm guessing it's basic economics. shipping costs overseas are probably through the roof and my guess is that there are very little profit margins. Either way, I've been wanting to buy a pair of AS Exclusives for awhile and now I can't.

I believe this may be contractual from AS with their various stockists. Since AS has stockists in various markets, this might be a way to equalize the playing field between the various stockists. Unfortunately, some without local stockists are left out.

The same has been going on with brands like Alden. Shipping costs might factor in but it might be a small factor. Hopefully AFPoS will still be able to secure rights for the MTOs.

The AFPOS threads are now gone, both the Affiliate Thread and the MTO thread.

Yet, on the same day I received my Charlton in suede on dainite- from the Country Line which isn't banished by the Exclusive restrictions, even though the liner says Exclusive on it.

I believe AFPOS photos are of my particular shoes. The pics went up yesterday in my size and the notice that they were shipped went out the day before; received this morning by 9:30am.

Their incredible service continues- I ordered a shoe not yet in stock last week and it arrived this week. Very pleased.

Wow, didn't notice this. I was wondering why I haven't seem anything new from their threads recently.

From my perspective the biggest issue is keeping up on the details of the outstanding MTOs that are ongoing. It's a shame if we'll never see another MTO through AFPOS. But it's critical to see the updates all in the same place.

If this is tied to the new AS policy on out of market shipping it's a real disaster and AS is only making the situation worse.
