Here - on multiple preorders now.

...got mine from the first (re)run...before they changed the undercollar leather to black (or VERY dark brown) on the coats and in the website images.

Is it by Billy Reid? Anyone knows where can i find online?

I met Billy Reid a couple months ago. Very cool and down to earth fellow. Best bet to snag one might be to reach out to Rachel at their Florence AL boutique and HQ.

From what I've heard, the coat is going to become a regular part of their line-up. Originally, they said that there would only be 150 reproduced, but that went out of the window rather quickly. They're backordered, but they're still available through the BR website.

Ah, but ordering through the website would deprive one of the opportunity to speak with, or better still work in person with, Rachel. Worth the trip to Florence. :D

Got Skyfall on DVD. Paid more attention to wardrobe than while in the theatre.

So much collar gap... :uhoh:

Was that when he was riding the motorbike and fighting on the roof of a train?

No - while he was standing still in an office talking to M.

Good tailoring was a priority for the costume designer. She chose fashion over fit. The chest bows out, the sleeves and the waist area have extensive creasing and the jacket doesn't cover his rear. Those elements of poor fit are fashionable, but there's no excuse for the collar standing away.

And for the cuff mentioned above, I wrote an article about the cuff here: http://thesuitsofjamesbond.com/?p=5

I prefer to use Frank Foster's name of Cocktail Cuff.

Here's another one that jumped out FWIW.

Or even promotional images:

Although I do understand the gist of your argument too. In instances like these:

You can't really expect a suit jacket to lie down as it should. Point taken.

Also FWIW, I didn't mind as much as was previously made out in the thread the overall slimness of the suits - DC's obviously a fit guy, why not? But there are certain factors in fit, regardless of the styling, that you have to nail down.

I don't object to a close-cut suit, but if it bunches up in certain places and pulls in others when someone is standing still that's simply a poor fit.

And is it still considered a poor fit when the jacket doesn't cover the rear?

Just watched Skyfall again as I just got the Blu Ray in. The suits are over the top tight. It looks downright awful, and not "Hey, I'm on SF so I'm going to nitpick pointless ****" awful, but actual awful. I'm surprised a button didn't fly off. Ralph Fiennes by contrast looked awesome, which probably exaggerated it. It was pretty amusing to review the first page of this thread where several people raved over how good he looked though. And whoever thinks Craig is a 42 chest 30 waist is crazy.

I'm a 42.5/30. I'm not sure what his height is, but it's not impossible.

He's my height, just under 5'11". I'm 160 lbs soaking wet, and I'm a 44/33. He weighs a good 15 lbs more than me. No way he measures that.

Again, I'm not sure. He very well could, but it's unlikely. I haven't seen a picture of you, but your body composition and his may be significantly different. I'm a bit taller than both of you, and I weigh a bit more than you do.
