Pretty cool!

Yes the shawl tuxedo in QoS and SF is Midnight Blue. DC also wore it to the Oscars and in the Olympics sketch w/QEII.

I couldn't agree more with you all that the skinny lapels/tie are so non Bond. QofS suits were excellent- not exactly the uber wide lapels of Tom Ford, but a classic (what looked like 3.5") width which will never be out of style.

In regards to the fit, I think it would be prudent to wait until the movie actually comes out, no? some shots obviously show the bowing of the lapels yes, but any trim suit will swiftly do that with a lot of movement. in the first shot posted in this thread, when he is just standing there, it fits flawlessly. If you have this type of physique, it's my belief that you should wear your suits as slim to the body as you can, but BEFORE it starts to pull. I have a comparable drop to Mr Craig, and it flatters my physique to do so, and it also chic to do so, IMO.

so, let's wait a bit before thrashing the fit (until the 9th) and we'll recheck it then. However.... skinny(ish) lapels/tie/tie knot needs to go.

Saw all the tux fits on FB from the grand openings. Craig looks very bad in all shots.  To tight, pulling everywhere, you name it. As mentioned, it looks like he's wearing something off the rack from BB.

Skinny lapels and the overall boxy short fit of this O'conner cut are a very rare mistake made by Ford. Ford has said many times his garments are meant to be a cross between the more structured makers of Saville row and  and the comfort of Naples. Wide lapels and an aggressive fit, not this skinny nonsense.

I think the shirt collar is a personal taste. But as for Daniel Craig you are right, he looks much better like this:

Did anyone see Justin Timberlake's Tom Ford tuxedo from his wedding? It was terrible. Posted below:

Although the lapel is funky, I dig it peepwall[1].gif Would prefer if the sleeves didn't have the trim though.

Yikes, that is rough.

Hanks in TF. Apart from the too-long pants and the coat pulling at the button (a recurring issue with TF suits - do their tailors not know how to taper a waist without tightening the buttoning point?), it looks quite good. Interesting fabric choice as well:

Its not that bad. The only thing wrong with it is excessive silk trim. The man is an entertainer. I could see a member of the rat pack wearing similar. There is one picture of sammy davis jr in a tuxedo much worse than that. Its sort of western style with satin pocket flaps.

... in case you didnt notice she is wearing a pink wedding dress so it may not be the most traditional wedding.

If you have a gut, alterations can only take you so far.
