Ideal for fall as I'd figured. Seemed pretty good so far until I tried it on. Fit TTS for sure but the breast pockets are a mess. The left side is is a good 5/8" above the right- I mean, it's not even close.

I'll be sending them back, they have a legit mailing system it seems, but just looking for feedback on whether this is really a one off or if I should forget it. I realize things happen but...man, it's pretty bad. Thanks in advance.

We're so sorry for the mishap on your Highland Shirt! Every once in awhile there can be some freak accidents that happen in the factories. It's definitely a rarity, but as you said, things happen. We would be happy to send you a replacement with the correct pocket placement!

Are there any olive project jackets in a size 38 left? I'd like to exchange my size 40.

i know the everyday oxfor is preshrunk. does that mean it wont shrink at all after a wash or wont shrink much? a 42 fits perfect but i havent washed it yet so i dont know how its going to fit after. and im curious before i buy more oxfords

come on man. couldnt resist the pointless comment could you?

for those that might be curious like myself, i called TS customer service earlier today with this question. Oxford material fully shrinks after about 3 washes. their shirts are washed once and it is possible that they can shrink more. it is recommended to cold water wash and hang dry to minimize shrinking. i was concerned only cause the 42 size fit perfect and i could tolerate a little shrinkage. i just didnt know if i should compensate and buy a size larger.

My experience with the oxfords (size 36) is they shrink a touch, more if you throw it in the dryer and minimally (if at all) when cold-washed and line-dried.  I typically try to shrink them a little, so I throw them in the dryer the first few times.  If you're right on the edge, you might size up and use the dryer a couple times.

a little shrink is fine. im considering dry cleaning. ive never bothered with it before but i dread ironing and that alone is worth the price of dry cleaning. thanks for the experience input

Keep in mind that unless you are emphatic about the dry cleaning method, the cleaner is just going to do a normal water-wash (and mabye dry) for a cotton shirt.

i'll just handle all my shirt cleaning then. id better not trust a cleaner that could ruin something so nice. thanks again for the input

Gentlemen,

I have a sizing issue.  My wife just got me 31's in the Nihon Menpu democratic fit selvage jeans.  I LOVEEE them, but sadly they are too big.

I have a pair of the summer weight chinos from TS and they are 30's.  The summer weight chinos fit great.  Should I go 30 in the jeans, or 29?  How much will they stretch?

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

are you guys moving away from producing larger sizes?  Saw that the chinos this week do not have a 38 and the shirts from a couple of weeks ago only went up to a 44 (though you mentioned this was due to an error at the factory).

They usually stretch about a size. We always recommend sizing down in raw denim.

Glad you liked them! Shoot an email to contact@taylorstitch and we can exchange them for a different size.

What is the weight of your Selvage Chino? Are they heavier and thicker for the FW?

We're not moving away from larger sizes. We will be making smaller amounts of them, but they wont be discontinued. The next run of chinos will have a full size run!
