I approve of this slide. Taylor Stitch is awesome.

Thanks Ravi! We hadn't seen that yet. Gotta love when it comes through at random.

In other news we have this week's editions up gents! A collection of things we thought necessary you guys have this spring. The indigo sweatshirts are the main attraction and some of the coolest things I personally think we have made to date. The fabric on those and the slub Californias have amazing depth to them. We wanted to add some fairly basic spring tees in there too that are easy to wear around.

Use the code SPRINGESSENTIALS through tomorrow for 10% off.

As always, give us a shout if you need anything!

Take good care,
Mike

I just bought one of your plaid project jackets and I really like it, definitely going to be buying more of your stuff.

One question though, I'm a bit confused on sizing. There was no fit guide for the jacket so I just picked 40 m because I'm usually mediums in most things, I'm assuming this 40 has no relation to the actual chest measurement? Also are these jackets meant to fit looser than other shirts that you make?

The chest size actually refers to the same size jacket you would buy. It generally equates to S/M/L, etc... but gives you a better fit because we can hit in between sizes with the actual chest size.

These jackets are supposed to fit a bit looser than the shirts we make.

Hi there, I was wondering if you can tell me more about your 10 oz Nisshinbo utility shirt, I'm like 90 percent convinced I want to buy it but i just want to know how it's constructed and what makes this special as compared to the 10 oz cone mill shirt, other than the fact that the fabric is sourced from a different place. Thanks and much appreciated!

This particular fabric is heavier in weight but softer in hand. Of the run of 10oz shirts we did this time, this black Nisshinbo was by far the softest. Not to say its any less durable - its just the natural quality of the denim.

Like the 10oz cone that proceeded it before, it is sewn with triple needle construction. This iteration has a more unique workwear pocket set up and is finished with powder coated metal shirting buttons.

Hope that help!

Thank you!

Can someone who has a pair of any of the selvage denim comment on how much it will stretch when worn?  I have a skinnier waist in relation to my legs and the 30" would probably fit on waist after some stretch, whereas the 31 might be a little big after.  The 31's would fit my legs better right of the rack.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Al,

All of our denim is sanforized. I have larger legs as well growing up playing hockey and lacrosse and I size down one from my normal waist size. The waist will stretch about an inch to an inch and a half. Also, feel free to order both and try to see what you like. We will just include a return label for you to send back the ones you don't like.

Let us know if we can help out with anything else.

Take good care,
Mike

Gents,

We just put up this week's edition. An 8 oz washed summer twill chino. We put an ever so light stone and enzyme wash on it to soften it right up.

Use the code BEACHTIME for 10% off now through the end of the day tomorrow.

As always, fire away with questions.

That is very kind of you.  I may just take you up on that very shortly.  I'm deciding between denim and the new summer weight chinos.  I don't have unlimited funding, so it will have to be one or the other. :(

I recall that lightweight denim may be coming. TS guys can confirm. That could be your answer. 😀

There is, what they label as, summer weight denim.  I just like those lightweight navy chinos, and it's tough to pass them up with 10% off.

The discount is nice. Fit on the last round of chinos is excellent. I believe I went with my normal size on those.
How is the material of the chinos? Are they a thick twill or softer?

Lightweight denim is coming down the pipe in mid May...
