Another day, another TS jacket. First outing for the black watch project jacket:

Anyone else up for a project jacket version of the tan waxed canvas longhaul?

Did Taylor Stitch get rid of one of their fits?

The "denim scout" at Hedels was recommending these, but it doesn't look like any of their current offerings have the same fit:

What do you think about this jacket so far?  I have not had a chance to wear mine yet.

Was expecting this to be tucked away until November here in DC but then it suddenly dipped into the 30s and 40s this week. It's a beautiful piece. Fits me nicely. As mentioned earlier the narrowish cuffs aren't a problem for me but are in fact a bonus. Actually got a compliment on this within 15 mins of having it on. It's a bit scratchy on the sleeves with only a T-shirt underneath but not unwearably so. Love it so far! I bought this the indigo project jacket and the olive canvas long haul in quick succession and am enormously happy with all three.

@Robertson @Smitty2k1 The rise is the distance between the center of the crouch to the top of the waist. A greater rise in inches means the jeans will sit higher on your waist, causing the silhouette of the jean to be a fit more trim/slim than a shorter rise.

So, more inches in the rise = sit higher up on your waist thus these jeans can also be classified as low rise (a bit confusing I know).

In developing these two fits, we found that the slim fit benefitted more from a higher rise because the higher rise helped the jeans fit more trim to the body. The slightly lower rise on the democratic fit aids in giving that relaxed but tailored fit.

The slim fit is really good and agree. So comfortable compared to brands like 3sixteen. So, when are those Tshirts ready?

Hopefully more than the sailor twitch ones on deck. I don't like graphics on pocket Ts.

I got my 110 year denim jacket. First Taylor Stitch product, looks very well built! A nice, stiff raw denim.

The one thing that surprised me is the natural indigo seems to have a pretty strong earthy smell to it. I googled it, and it looks like that's pretty normal with natural indigo. I don't think any of my synthetic dyed jeans have ever smelled so strong.

Doesn't entirely answer your question but I have these in the old Townsand Democratic fit. I believe the slimmer fit used to be called Brenham. They still have democratic and slim. I think they dropped the additional descriptors some years back. And if you or anyone happens to be a 31 in the democratic, I'll send them for the cost of postage.

Edit: taken.

@OmniscientCause @Sudonihm there's a strong chance fellas. In fact, my crystal ball tells me next Thursday, the 21st, you may see something hit the workshop of your liking.

Here's a little teaser. The guy in the shot is Pete who runs North Menswear and on top of running one of the coolest small menswear shops is a great dude. Not sure any of you are out near Laguna, but if you find yourself there, stop by and check 'em out:

I ended up buying some Taylor Stitch Slim Chinos in a place in Austin. Man..GREAT fit.  I tend to try out the J. Crew Chinos but these are much more improved than their Slim Chinos.  I ended up buying some in Olive but I'm wondering if TS will make some in Camel :)
