Sure, but should I use my spider sense to figure out when measurements are wrong?
Kind of a hassle to call every time to to make sure.
Not like there's a shortage of places to buy $150 pants.
Never had a problem with Epaulet so it's not like it's asking too much.

It really takes less then 2 mins to type an email and ask or ask here. I'm not sympathetic sorry. Calling takes about the same time as well.

I have 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants and have seen no variation in sizes. So I cant really speak to that. If your that worried about sizing order both and return the item that doesnt fit as well as the other. Problem solved.

The measurements on the site are standard, yes there might be slight variation but you are acting like the measurements are way off. With the exception of the one shirt being too long in the sleeves i dont think anything has been that far from off.

Give your money to online retailers you're happy with and I'll do the same.
Having online measurements reflect reality is online clothing retail 101.

Exactly. Omni is presuming any online shopper should know to order a few sizes in case the measurements posted are off. What? How is that a reasonable leap? I like the quality of TS a lot and their customer service is fantastic. I don't think it's unreasonable to request that if there's a measurement chart on an item's page that the chart is accurate as opposed to approximate.

So you should have to order two of every item just to be safe? The whole point of online shopping is convenience and accessibility. Inconsistent sizing eliminates the convenient aspect since I have to then go to the post office with every order (even if only 1/4 of orders require it, that's still a hassle), in turn creating hesitant buyers. As others have said, there are plenty of retailers to buy from so you can't really fault customers that go elsewhere due to sizing inconsistencies. It's much easier to just buy from a retailer where you know what to expect.

That said, I haven't had issues with TS but only own 2 items of theirs. Almost bought the duck camp pants and am glad I didn't (also curious why they put the old size chart back up). If I had, and they later admitted to knowing the whole batch ran small and didn't say anything, then I'd likely not return.

Do you really look at the sizing this seriously for every purchase. I can see why people would be upset if the sizing said one thing and they got something completely off but I'm not sitting there measuring my clothing when it comes in. I look at chest size and waist size everything else is secondary. Maybe I'm just not anal enough but ts shirts for me better then any other shirt I've worn and I haven't had to use their sizing guide.

I'm not an expert at clothing structuring but I can imagine they cut all products the same measurements and it is the fabric that makes up the differences.

I can see why people would be upset if the sizing said one thing and they got something completely off but I'm not sitting there measuring my clothing when it comes in. I look at chest size and waist size everything else is secondary. Maybe I'm just not anal enough but ts shirts for me better then any other shirt I've worn and I haven't had to use their sizing guide.

I'm not an expert at clothing structuring but I can imagine they cut all products the same measurements and it is the fabric that makes up the differences.

I only measure it when I detect a distinct difference in the fit when I try the item on. If the size chart indicates one thing and the item measures up to 1" different or more, then there's a problem.

I prefer my clothes to fit properly, but that's just me.

How do their oxfords fit? I wear (and very much like) Gitman Vintage oxfords in Large and J Crew slim fit in Large is a close second.

A size 44 in TS shirting makes sense to me - but I've heard they have a bit of a taper and I don't like an aggressive casual shirt cut.

I don't know about Gitman or Jcrew, but I wear a large Epaulet shirt and a 40 TS (occasionally a 42 with their thicker shirts, like the Yosemite). For reference, I have 19" shoulders and a 41" chest. Hope that helps.

I wear gitman vintage size L and find a TS size 42 comparable, albeit slightly more trim/tapered.
