Any other tie suggestions for this tweed jacket? Whatever tie you recommend, you will get shipped for free. Is that not motivation enough to help me find the perfect tie for my date on Sunday? nod[1].gif

Here is the jacket again, this time I paired it with a Gingham check shirt and skinny worsted wool tie. This is the combination I was thinking off although I think that a bit more color would be nice. Suggestions please!

I prefer to add more color with the tie, and have the subtle design colors of your tie match your coat. My top 3:

If you zoom in, there's also subtle threads of orange and blue, so I'd lean towards the coral... but then again those threads are incredibly subtle. I like the soft pink plaid myself, simply because I don't see too many pink ties, plus the only other pattern I like more than paisley is plaid - but that's me.

Good luck!

Great suggestions! I am guessing that your favorite tie of these is the pink tartan-check one? Please send me a PM with your preferred shipping address, and I will send this tie to you.

I like your suggestion to add more color. I think the paisley tie in lavender/purple would be a good option.

Thanks again for the suggestions!

Is this open also for international shipping addresses?

I have a jacket just like that one, and I definitely agree that it should be worn with a colorful tie and pink, white, or blue shirt.

My top three suggestions are:

1. Yellow and Blue Stripe- http://www.ties-necktie.com/striped-silk-necktie-yellow-and-navy-p-15291.html

2. Blue Floral- http://www.ties-necktie.com/indigoblue-floral-tie-chevalier-p-15413.html

3.Pink Patterned- http://www.ties-necktie.com/pink-silk-tie-p-10831.html

Thanks for the suggestions. I personally like the navy & yellow striped tie the most of the three you suggested. Please send me a PM with your preferred shipping address and I will send you one of these ties (your pick) for free.

Thanks for the suggestion

First of all, that jacket is AWESOME! I love it, great great herringbone look on that. And I'm not sure how old you are, but the set you picked, although nice, is a bit on the conservative side. It would look good on someone 60+ but I also like the suggestion of some color in the tie. And I would be against getting a tie with a lot of pattern/detail going on because of how much you already have going on with that jacket and shirt combo. A paisley tie with this would be just too much!

I think a coral colored tie would look fantastic with your jacket/shirt combo and would really pop. My suggestions will be from the orange/coral realm and also more solid looking as you already have two patterns with your jacket and shirt where a solid tie should complement them well.

Dark Tangerine Orange: http://www.ties-necktie.com/dark-tangerine-orange-necktie-p-16508.html

Persimmon Orange: http://www.ties-necktie.com/solid-necktie-persimmonorange-p-15223.html

Orange Trendy Silk Tie: http://www.ties-necktie.com/trendy-orange-silk-tie-p-16754.html

this^ tie looks fantastic, though if the pattern is quite noticeable, *might* be too busy with the outfit you have picked out.

Purple is this too, this one: http://www.ties-necktie.com/violet-purple-silk-tie-p-16542.html

Wow, those are some good suggestions. I like your dark persimmon orange suggestion (http://www.ties-necktie.com/solid-necktie-persimmonorange-p-15223.html) the most. Let me know which of you suggestions you like the most and I will send it to you. Please send me a PM with the tie you like and the preferred shipping address. Your tie will go out Monday.

Also, to answer your question. I am 30 years old, I agree that a paisley tie would be a bit too much. Although conservative, I do like striped ties. Here is another one I had in mind that I like for the jacket. It adds color without being too overpowering. Also the dark orange on the tie plays off nicely of the orange in the herringbone pattern:

Keep the suggestion coming! My date is tomorrow. =)

Long time lurker, new poster.

I'd always try and get some texture into a plain coloured tie. Especially with something as glorious as that Harris tweed.

Something like this...

Possibly over a good white shirt.

Hey there! I just loooove your jacket!!!! I would personally team it with one of these:

1. Lavender Purple Paisley Tie http://www.ties-necktie.com/lavender-purple-paisley-tie-p-16776.html

I love the print and the shade! I would team this with a white shirt...

2. Raspberry Pink Striped Tie http://www.ties-necktie.com/raspberry-pink-striped-tie-p-16744.html

This is for the funky fun loving date ;)

3. Amber Gold and Navy Striped Tie http://www.ties-necktie.com/ambergold-and-navy-striped-tie-p-16490.html

DO let us know which one you chose finally! :) Have lots of fun!!! :)

I received the black faille bowtie (http://www.ties-necktie.com/black-ribbed-self-tied-bow-tie-p-16914.html)

I like the tie, but it would be helpful to have size labels along the inside so that I can get an idea of the settings when doing the adjusting.

I ended up going out and buying a cheap adjustable bowtie just to get a size measurement and for practice. When I line the other tie up with yours, it looks like yours tops out at a 17" neck. I am a 16.5" so I have to adjust it downward ever so slightly, but I find the tag gets in the way. Otherwise, great bowtie.

Hi, I would wear this one: http://www.ties-necktie.com/retro-stripe-skinny-tie-blackbird-p-17573.html

It is also a retro tie, and not too skinny. Also, it is a wool tie, and that fits with the jacket's fabric.

I am afraid you would be too hot wearing that jacket in July though smile.gif

Another nice choice tie. Thanks for the suggestion. This is a tie from a new designer "BlackBird" we just started carrying. Most of this designers colors are muted and I wish they had something with orange (burnt orange) in their collection. Anyways, please send me a PM with your preferred shipping address and I will send you the tie you recommended free of charge.

Cheers

Hendrik
