I think Romney will go with blue: he did most of the primary debates, so I think he'll stick with some kind of neat pattern in blue. I'll go with dark blue, although he has worn light blue before.

I think Obama will go with red. He got lambasted for being too passive and not fighting in the last debate - similar to this one he wore against McCain.

I actually heard an interview not long ago where he mentioned that, as an aside, anyway. The person interviewing him, in an effort to get an insight into what it's like to be President, asked the President to teach him how to do the job (it was actually quite fascinating). One thing he mentioned was decision fatigue- there have been studies recently showing that the more decisions you make during the day, the worse they get, since your brain just can't dedicate as many resources to each. And going from that research, minor decisions over inconsequential stuff will wear you out, and affect your ability to make big decisions, and the Presidency is primarily decision making. As a response, he mentioned that he just cut out as much of the unimportant stuff as he could, including dressing. He got rid of all of his suits except blue and gray, has a bunch of very simple shirts, and classic, conservative ties. It's not so much that the President has to dress conservatively, it's more that Presidents find it better to cut out as much distraction from their routine as possible.

Keep the guesses coming. Just 25 min left for the chance to win $50.

Btw, in my recent survey 78% of republican voters want to see Romney dressed in a red tie. Democrats prefer a blue tie on Obama (but by a much smaller margin of only 54%). Also interesting is the fact that Democrats were much more open to other tie colors besides the classic blue and red ties we see in politics. Anyways, thought I share this with you guys...

Thanks for sharing this. Can you direct me to the interview? Would really be interested in reading/watching it. I am actually working on an article for the Huffingtonpost right now and this information could be very helpful. Much appreciated!
