These Fratelli Rossetti have been with me for a long time, and I have only recently started giving them the care they need:

Can they be saved?

Do they still look ok?

I wonder if a new sole is possible; any advice?

thx

I guess by that you think they look ok :)

The main problem is the sole.

well ok. a cobbler can glue a thin rubber sole onto it. certainly, it will feel a bit different from the get go but you get used to it. talk to him and he should consult you on this issue.

imo, it's not urgent but will come up in the future.

Aside from the fact that those are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen in my life, I don't see anything beyond repair about them. That said, you may want to stop investing more money in those, and consider buying a proper pair of welted leather shoes that don't so much resemble an alien stingray's penis.

Cheers,
JT

Wish that were true, but it isn't.
