Hello. I've been internet browsing to get ideas for my first suit, as a 20th birthday present, and a few weeks after that I have an important college interview so Id like to look great.
Has anyone come across an affordable double breasted suit? Ive always admired the look. Specifically Im looking for slim a fitting one that's medium grey, not dark, since I think a light gray looks excellent with a shirt/tie that are dark reds, purples, blues.. along with a pair of tan oxfords.

The photo you posted of a 2-button double-breasted suit might not be appropriate for a conservative job interview. Your first interview suit should be a solid navy or grey single-breasted suit with either 2 buttons or 2.5 buttons (that's a 3-button where the top button is never actually used, and is actually part of the rolled-over lapel). Wear black shoes in the interview. You can have more fun with the 2nd suit.

How long until your birthday? 38L is sometimes difficult to find in stock but you may not have enough time to go the made-to-measure route. Where do you live?

That suit is not appropriate for a corporate environment under any circumstances. Way funky. What's with the asymmetry?

Well I couldnt wait for my birthday so I picked this up from Zara for $230. Its 36, Im hoping my tailor could lengthen the sleeves half an inch. Also I need the pants hemmed... and a tie.

Is it normal for the sleeves and pants to get all bunched up?

Hard to say. Stand straight with your arms at your side and take a another picture.
