Engineered Garments FW 2012 - Page 63

Can anyone give me any advise on the varsity jacket sizing?
I am size medium in shirting this season – with the shoulders fitting juts a little large.
Should I go for medium or small?

The belt is by Nepenthes, Eggplant.jp has it.

Does anyone have any experience of the workaday range? I am interested in the olive reversed sateen utility jacket and also the 41 khaki pant and was wondering if these fit the same as the main range? Thanks

The fatigue pants are considerably looser than the corresponding mainline fatigues... not sure about the khakis or the jacket. I've had my Workaday Fatigues for 4 years now, and after getting used to the roomier fit, they've become some of my favorite pants... and the olive sateen wears in beautifully.

Thanks for that. Seems like return would be hassle and costly if it didn't work out since I'm in the US. Appreciated though.

For robinsongreen. Sorry forgot to quote.

The Varsity jacket has an odd fit. The body and arms are quite boxy, but it's also very short....and the waist band is very thin and barely elasticized, if at all, from what I remember....so it tends to hang rather than hug the body as a jacket normally would. I wanted to love it but ended up sending mine back.

That said, if you're between sizes, I'd probably go down as opposed to up.

I just bought the olive utility jacket today. I got a xs, and usually a small fits me fine for EG stuff, workshirts, jackets, etc. So I would say size down one, especially if you like a slimmer fit. The jacket is great btw, very simple but perfect.

I bought the olive utility jacket in a Medium - shoulders are 18 inches, pit to pit 21, and the outer sleeve is 25 inches. Great jacket, esp for the price.

post a fit pic of it, id love to see it

Also, how much was the utility jacket?
it's $250 @ inventory.

Thanks for the answers. Judging by the sizes Ritchee has posted I will need to go for a large for the pit to pit.
