If you're really set on getting an EG jacket you should try an Andover. Slimmer cut than the baker with similar sized shoulders. A medium sound like it would be perfect for you.

For me, many times sleeves and shoulder of size S would fit fine (shirts/ couple jackets) but the chest would be a little tight. If I size up to M though, Chest has room to layer more, but the rest parts are too big/long. Is this how EG works or my body is not made for it? shog[1].gif

I have similar issues. I tend to find size small is to tight in shoulders and chest but the medium is to long in the sleeves and length but fits great everywhere else. But I'd rather get a size Medium and have it be a bit bigger and relaxed than tight and to small.

just spend $20 with a tailor and you're good

Who did you use? Was shipping a ton?

Have you checked eggplant? They accept international orders and stock EG. However, I've never used them because of the markup.

And I certainly originally found EG looking for the more casual garments. However, now that I have transitioned to wearing ties to work I appreciate the unstructured alternative that EG affords to more traditional options.

I use eg more traditional than casual and really appreciate the versatility most of the items have, just sucks that its usually pretty hard to get a 3 piece suit together.

Are the desert pants this season true to size?
someone asked for details so for reference here is a pic of the baker jacket, size M. I am 5'11" and 170, as you can see it's way too big.

I wish I knew. I couldn't find any stockists outside of Japan. Who is stocking them? thanks

I've got a pair tagged size 32 that measure 16" at the waist. I would personally not consider this tts (in my mind tts = tagged waist size + 1").

FYI for some of you guys that are having a tough time finding the desert pants: I'm going to be selling my cotton herringbone pair, so keep a lookout on the B&S or PM me

That's unfortunate for me, as I too share similar body dimensions (6' tall, 38' chest).

I purchased same jacket online a couple days ago, and it's due to arrive shortly. Guess I'll be sending it back to for a refund!

Can anyone confirm if the Truman jacket fits similarly (ie. a little on the large size)?

For reference, medium fit perfect for SS12 in the Andover, Baker and Bedford.
