can anyone comment on the fit of the whipcord cotton bedford? i am 5'11", 170lbs, 39-ish chest. The bureau says get a medium but i bought a lansdown last season in medium and it was comically large on me (see below). did the sizing change this season?

^ I would suggest a Medium. We have a Medium in Olive ( which is more of a Mushroom color )

When in doubt, ask for measurements.

Sorry for spamming, but if someone is interested in a Bedford in duck canvas from last winter I have one for sale in size small:

It's fucking cheap and I can't see why it has not been sold yet...

Would anyone be able to provide a waist measurements on the USN pants, with the waist cinches unbuttoned?
Id appreciate it, thanks!

Both of mine measured 16" when new. After wearing them a bit, it's stretched to 16.5" which isn't enough to button even one of the tabs. I would go TTS with this years USN pants.

Probably going to have to order overseas for the USN pant in 32 in the reversed sateen at this point. I got mine from The Bureau, but it's sold out now. Only stockists in North America were Stuart & Wright and J+O. Shoot Nepenthes NY an e-mail to find out who the European stockists are.

Who is stocking the shawl collar in navy? Can anyone comment on how warm the jacket is?

Does anyone know anything about the weight of the herringbone wool jackets, in particular the half-lined Baker? I like the appearance but I'd be sad if it was strictly for colder weather. Read it was "definitely for fall/winter" but I'd like to know rough oz, maybe how it compares to the melton wool.

Its certainly not equal to the weight of melton wool, but it is substantial. It is probably fine up to 55 degrees. I think I wore my grey herringbone baker until the end of last spring-Mayish. I recently purchased the Cambridge pants in the same fabric; excited to try out my first EG suit for work and to pair with a navy blue wool bedford in a more rugged trad sort of styling. Its interesting, some have commented on this tread they don't like when EG is styled in a more traditional men's wear look, preferring the Japanese hipster thing. And I certainly originally found EG looking for the more casual garments. However, now that I have transitioned to wearing ties to work I appreciate the unstructured alternative that EG affords to more traditional options.

Anyone ever proxied something from dice and dice?
Who did you use? Was shipping a ton?
I have tried to send them emails in Japanese (proofread by a co-worker) about shipping to the US and they never replied. My suggestion is to ask Gary to ask Nepenthes NY to "release" a Japan-marker-only item for you. It's easier than you think since everything is in NYC.

i like EG a lot but the sizing doesn't seem to work for me. I just bought a herringbone baker, size M. shoulders are fine, but body and length are huge. pretty sure the small would be too tight, even if i could find one.
