Engineered Garments FW 2012 - Page 41

EG FW bums me out, not because of styling, but because it's too warm. Bought three jackets last FW and sold all of them without ever getting a chance to wear them.

Where do you live?

^ Probably California.

EG outerwear is perfect for NYC winters, in my experience. If I could afford it, I'd get the Wool Chesterfield coat and wear that everyday until infinity.

I think it's pretty nice. The fabric texture is pretty neat. I don't have any other EG outerwear, so I don't have much to compare it with. It is a bit pricey though.

Do you live in Egypt?
I'd have to buy 3 jackets and wear them simultaneously to keep warm. Think it's a shame they don't do jackets for real winters.
We can get down to about -22°F.

Perfectly put. I almost feel like it's designed for NYC. That and Supreme... NY brands through and through.

Here, here!

I recently moved and while I was in Canada I used to find myself scouring the interwebs for FW gear and rarely even bothered to look at the SS stuff,,,, now in SoCal it's the total opposite, and the bitchslap of it all is that I really like the wool camo bedford, got no shot of seeing it irl prior to purchase, and I just keep wondering if its gone be too warm to even wear down here.

Last time I was at Nepenthes, they had the grey/red flannel stripe bucket hat as well as the wool navy camo. Each is around $100-150.

Context has them in as well.

canal_overdub made an insightful comparison of the Truman and Bedford earlier in the thread, but what about the Baker and the Truman? They both come in the herringbone this season, so that's specifically what I'm wondering about. The Truman is fully lined and has that unique double vent, the Baker is unlined and the pocket setup is different from the Truman, but I'm interested in differences in fit, lapels or other details I might've missed. Does anyone have personal experience? Also, do any other jackets come in the herringbone this season?

Is the Andover slimmer than both the Baker and the Truman?
