Tangled was actually a really well executed, simple animated movie, but I am shocked that it cost 260 million dollars. Good lord.

+1

There were only like 3 locations it was "shot" in. The House, The Forest/Pub, The City....and there really weren't many characters. Maybe I'm forgetting too much.

I enjoyed it though.

I enjoyed it though.

The animation technique is pretty innovative...combing traditional animation with GCI and rendering it in 3d. It was in production for five or six years as various incarnations of "Rapunzel". The version that we saw probably cost significantly less, but there's a LOT of animation that will never see the light of day.

King Kong 2005 $207 Good.
Green Lantern 2011 $200 Good (more like 6/10 though).

Quantum of Solace 2008 $200 Decent.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 2007 $300 Entertaining.

Entertaining means a good watch. Not complex, not challenging, just .. entertaining. I'd say it ranges from 3/10-6/10. Good is good, 7/10. Great is great, 9/10+. There are just a handful of movies I'd never watch again -- for example Ultraviolet. Worst movie ever. Need to see the Avengers. And Titanic, lol.
