Help! Borrelli Shirt Owners!

Thread Starter
I'd like to get some detailed information about the collars of Borrelli Shirts with spread collars.

1. What is the point length of the collar?
2. What is the back height of the collar?
3. What's the material like at the collar? Relative stiff or soft?

I know there will be variance/inaccuracy, but that's okay. I just want some detailed responses so I can build up my knowledge/feel for collars before commissioning some bespoke shirts with my tailor.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone? Mr. Spoo?

Borrelli have several different models, so it might be difficult to answer accurately as the answer will depend on the model.

Also, I suspect that the dimensions could differ a bit depending on the shirt/collar size -what size are you looking for?

1. They had many different collar styles, so this is not an answerable question.

2. They had many different collar styles, so this is not an answerable question.

3. All the Neapolitan RTW shirt makers use a soft fusible almost exclusively on their shirt collars.

BTW, it does not sound like you're getting a bespoke shirt. It's MTM. There's nothing wrong with that, just don't get the two things confused.

It should sound like I'm gathering info towards bespoke. I like to have some detailed knowledge before talking with my tailor. Everyone has to start somewhere.

All of my questions should be answerable with some reading comprehension. Thanks for insight on #3.

I asked Borrelli owners to post the measurements of their shirts. I'm not asking for universal measurements; I just want measurements on a spread collar one may own.

If some people would be kind enough to post some measurements, I will interpret any feedback to my question in my own way that will help me get what I want.

I'm not sure if the collar height and point length will vary too much with shirt size. I'm looking for size 15, but I don't want to limit responses.

If you like the Borrelli collar so much, why not just buy Borrelli? puzzled.gif

I think that he prefers that others measure for him.

It's like asking what spaghetti tastes like without having to go though the trouble of ever having eaten it

One simple reason is because they won't fit as well as bespoke and I can't specify every detail. I have my mind set to try out my tailor's bespoke. I'm doing some homework on collars so I get just what I want. I'm not going to just replicate a Borrelli-- if I wanted to do that effectively I'd buy a Borrelli shirt and bring it to the tailor. What's up with the useless comment? Don't tell me you're trying to advertise your shirts-for-sale thread to me. I hope reading this stops anyone else from commenting about my reasoning or intents.

Getting feisty arn't you. I don't have any Borrelli shirts and I don't want to purchase one just to measure the collar. I'm trying to get a quick sense for what different collar point lengths and heights look like. I've measured the shirts available to me, and I want some measurements on Borrelli. It's all for my reference. If you don't have one & are not willing to take two quick measurements, then get the fuck out. This thread is obviously not for you.

Point length: two to four inches.

Back height: two to three inches.

Stop shitting my thread. It just makes me think very lowly of you.

If anyone is willing, I just want two measurements on your size x Borrelli spread-collar shirt:
1) Point length
2) back height

I'll take measurements some time this week, but out of curiosity have you tried Borrelli shirts on? You might not need to go the bespoke route.

My borrelli shirts fit perfectly OTR, I don't need a single alteration done.

Which Borrelli spread collar? There's been at least a dozen.

The ones you own. If you own too many, then your favorite. If you're feeling extra nice, multiple measurements. I really don't think this is too much to ask. F. Corbera, you don't need to keep posting here though since you don't approve of my questions.
