Just watched a special on Samuel Eto'o. I fucking love that dude. He's one of my favorite footballers ever. That 2000 Olympic match against Brazil was one if the most special football games I've ever seen. Way underdog 9 man Cameroon beats juggernaut Brazil to advance and take the gold? Only Greece over Portugal 2004, Denmark's Euro win, and Senegal over France 2002 compare. If Cameroon would have beat England in '90 it would top it, but no. IMO, 9 man Cameroon over Brazil in the 2000 olympic quarters was my favorite upset ever. They went on to take gold and were just as lovely to watch as any team I've ever seen.

Of note, France's '98 squad were better, but they came in as real contenders. Cameroon were shown the heels of opponents boots. What a great story.

Costa Rica now looking to file protests about the snow game. Now that they've had more than 24 hours to get everyone's stories straight... facepalm.gif

The ref stopped the match, and asked every player and both coaches what was up. They all elected to continue. The sport is played outside, maricones. Doesn't mean you can protest weather conditions after the fact. You played, they stopped the game, you said you wanted to continue, you lost.

US should be able to protest smog conditions in Mexico City - "not conducive to professional sport" or some bull like that.

Get over it.
