Really? I'm a huge fan of Bale's, but calling him third best in the world means he's better than two of Iniesta, Xavi, and Ronaldo. How do you figure?

I'm not sure he's the third best player in the Premier League. Yet.

Bale is really good..

Strong,quick and skilled but he is not in the class of messi ,Ronaldo and so many others..

He is just a very good player who has the potential to be great if he goes to a better club.

what's amazing is that, while his standing jump kinda sucks, even taking 1 or 2 extra steps allows him to reach immense heights, i mean NBA-level leaps (sup castrol tests)

van persie has hit the bar mroe than anyone in history (he did it at the weekend too ...)

i guess his aim is *that* good

Thought De Gea was player of the game. Lots of the English press are down on him but his shot stopping is world class. That save on Coentrao was breathtaking.

Ronaldo's goal was just typical Ronaldo. Thought Di Maria may have been Madrid's best player, though. Was surprised to see him (and Welbeck) subbed.

And WTF is with the referee blowing the whistle when one team is about to take a corner? Hate it when refs feel the need to be the focus.

I can't think of a better player. Barca is a system, outside of the systems I doubt that Xavi is that great.

Anyway, sticking to my guns. If Bale played for Barca, you'd agree.

After reading this, I'm tending to agree with Shah's theory that you're trolling a little here. You can't seriously hold that Bale is better than Xavi, system or not.

Well, I suppose The Daily Mail also doesn't rate Xavi's abilities and influence, but I'm not sure that really supports your position.

Anyway, Bale's a fantastic player. Easily top ten in the Premier League.
