At the moment, Gala is the place to go...

I'm not sure why...

Haha - you know I think Abidal is a fantastic player, and it's great to see Benzema (staged or not) respecting him.

Galatasaray making some waves. I like it. Last few days of the window always mixes things up. Both Snjeider and Drogba also eligible for CL play, no? That'll make knockout very interesting.

Who will ever sign with those Chinese teams now if the big contracts are never paid out?

Balotelli's moving to AC Milan. I've read the fee is 20M euros up front with 3M based on performance. I assume the character issues will subside with a move to his childhood favorite and a return to his home country. I'd like to see he and El Shaarawy (I'm a big fan of his) work some magic up front.

The Manchester parking authority will be sad to see him go.

I love his reply to a police officer in a stop and search incident asking him why he had 5 000 pounds in his pocket...

"Because I'm rich"..

He was also seen going around Manchester at Christmas giving 20 pound notes to random people and was stopped in a women prison yard in Milan with his brother..

When asked what they were doing there,he replied he just wanted to look around..

I love that guy..

What's your feeling on Coutinho? I see he was loaned to Espanyol last season and hasn't played much for Inter this year. The fee seems reasonable for a 20-year old. Do you think he's got a chance to contribute this year, or should I assume that he'll need the offseason?

very promising but have not made real match-winning impacts in stretches of games. with inter and italy's finances the money are decent, but quite pissed moratti/branca cant milk out more from liverpool (carroll 35m gbp). i genuinely hope he will succeed in epl. doubt so looking at his physique. oscar, although small, has very strong upper body strength. need awhile to buff up ala rafael.

moratti branca were taking a lot of flak for selling him but i am genuinely excited with kovacic.

Was a pretty decent match yesterday, no violence and disgraceful tactics I don't think. The lighter on the pitch incident was funny, Pique tried to get overdramatic and Puyol just took it tossed it and told him to get back in the game. Nice header by 19 year old to give Madrid the equalizer, but I don't think their fans were too happy with the complete reliance on counters throughout (but they do this even against lesser opponents than Barca...)
