Torres said before his transfer to Chelsea that he'd die were he to play another season in the EPL (due to it's physically-taxing nature). I guess he meant it just not literally. I can't see him back there as it was the pressure (and $$$ of course) that squeezed him out, but certainly a return to spain. Atletico would be insane to agree for that though

Heck - with as dusted as ManU's midfield has been, why not head home for half a season?
I still think Beckham plays better than anyone Hodgson has selected for the England midfield as of late.
I agree that he's one of the top passers in the game. But he's a defensive liability, is riddled with injuries in his old age, and honestly I just don't see ManU going for him. That would mean, if he wanted to go back to England, playing for a different club (something he said he'd never do).

Paris? Milan? London?
In that order.
I think he may have more of an impact and be able to earn more money in Paris than anywhere else (excluding Russian and Chinese "opportunities").

In those places, in a top league, I just don't see what he offers. I love Becks and he's still a very talented player, but I don't believe he's capable of playing at the top level any longer.

I hate him but he could be a good loan to buy in order to rest milito in cf for my Inter

You want Beckham to play as a center forward?

Haha. Good centre forward for QPR no doubt.

I think PSG wants him for a number of reasons. So Paris is a real possibility.

Middle East, Russia and China too.

Juve lead, as much as I hate them I do hope they win.

Juve dominate and beat Chelsea 3-0 could have been 5 really. Is this the same team that is 3 rd in the league and current holder of CL?!!!!!!!

Juve did it without a proper cf too.... Chelsea could be out City probably too and if Arsenal weren't in an easy group as always they probably wouldn't have a chance. Last year both Manchester teams were out of the group stage.. I don't want to hear any more arguments about the epl being the best league in the world just because u like it more or that the team you support plays there.

chelsea again showing why they're mediocre and last year was a fluke and half

Eboué is the man satisfied.gif

If Juve had a good striker they'd have a pretty decent chance of playing in the final. Not sure they can make it without one.

Well allow me to disagree with part of this.

Chelsea winning the CL last year was not a fluke. Actually the fact that they did not win the CL until last year was a bit of a fluke. If Terry had not slipped when taking the penalty in Moscow, if Chelsea had been given the multiple penalties that should have been called against Barca a few years back when Barca stole the match in the 92nd min, on and on.

A lot of clubs have sob stories, but Chelsea also have one of the best overall CL records in the last decade or so. And as for last year, they wanted it more than anyone else and that is how they played.

But Chelsea were horrible today. They deservedly lost, and based on what I saw do not deserve to go into the knockout stage. Juve and Shaktar are vastly better than this Chelsea.

So what is wrong with Chelsea? The main problem is that this is almost an entirely new team than the one that wore blue since say 2004. They will take time to gel and to find team leaders, and while that is happening they are going to get hammered by quality teams that have played together longer. But generally speaking Chelsea have the right players.

The striker position is the obvious weakness and that can be solved, assuming Falcao is willing to play in the Europa League for at least the rest of this year. Fellaini would be a boost as well.

The bigger question is whether RDM is the right manager at this point. I don't like throwing managers overboard every week, and Chelsea are the worst about that. But I don't see him getting the best (or even adequate) performance out of this incredibly talented group of individuals.

The only certain thing is that Roman is boiling right now.
