Any players I would know in your team?

I do not really know a lot about the MLS...

Well that didn't quite go according to plan. Galaxy were by and far the better team (I think Beckham's salary alone is equal our entire payroll).

Shocked everyone by taking an early lead in the 4th minute, it was shut it down for 65 minutes after that. I knew we were sunk when Kenny Miller botched a sitter to make it 2-0 in the 68th, sure enough LA draws level 30 seconds later.

Donavan then takes a swan dive and he converts the PK. To be fair, they had a legit PK not called in the first half.

Better team wins I have no problem admitting that.

Lasbar- you may know Barry Robson and Kenny Miller. MIiller played at both Rangers and Celtic, Robson at Celtic and in the EPL. Not huge stars but Miller is still one of Scotland's go to strikers though he is under a lot of criticism for not producing.

I doubt either will be back with Vancouver as that experiment did not produce the results their salaries should be giving us. Most supporters want them gone.

You may also know Y.P. Lee (S. Korean int'l) who played a bit for Spurs and Jay DeMerit who was Watford's captain for a while.

Why isn't DeMerit in the USMNT picture anymore? He kind of dropped off the radar shortly after WC2010 (and I thought he played decently enough)

Not sure why DeMerit doesn't factor any longer as I do wonder that myself sometimes.. He is still only 32 but maybe they are moving on.

Oddly enough when the Caps had a great first half of the year, he was not playing well. In the last third when we struggled, it was our defence that started to stabilize. When Andy O'Brien came over from Leeds the two of them formed a nice partnership in central defence.

The two of them were brilliant last night. Then disaster struck when DeMerit got injured with no warning and had to be subbed off. His replacement came in cold and all hell broke loose.

Seriously, I didn't see the lineup and thought that was Koscielny. I didn't expect that from Vermaelen.

In other news, anyone in the US that has Brighthouse cable - they just added beIN yesterday. I'm quite excited to get La Liga back!

what you mean? verm is no way our best defender he's a damn loudmouth liability

Arsenal has made 55m in profit over past five years in transfer market, time to invest in them because it's a damn good binniss forget the recession
post #2997 of 4307
I don't watch them regularly, so I was basing that on games I've seen and remember from previous season. Clearly you would know much more about them than me.

Been busy. He was a dickhead but there's been a few (Celtic vs Dida, Wednesday vs Hill when they got relegated, Fleetwood Town had a player knocked out when they got promoted). Shame the TV cameras didn't show the Wednesday fans singing Turkey songs and throwing coins at our fans a minute before.

Funny thing was that I didn't see the incident but by the time I left the ground I knew his name, his town, and what he looked like - and it still took the police three days to arrest him, nice bit of overtime for sitting on their hands.
