FWIW, Romafan, love getting Serie A updates. Despite the league's decline, definitely underrepresented here.

Ahh figure of speech. To me the only thing really worth arguing about on the internet is footy. I enjoy the give an take - some take things way too personally. If this mattered, I mean if this were actually a serious topic, e.g. politics, world finance or the price of tea in China this would be a very unsuitable forum. However, footy and whether or not Kim K's boobs are real are the only types of topics suitable for venue. I would argue, figure of speech again, that clothing is too serious.

I, too, wish we had more discussion of Serie A.

Walcott insists he wants to stay at Arsenal and become as big a legend there as Thierry Henry.

He told ESPN: "I want to be an Arsenal legend. Thierry joined the club when he was 22 and I want to become an Arsenal legend like him, playing up front as well, which is a big factor for me.

I say let him have a go at it against Coventry - what's the worse that can happen?

Liverpool did dominate and still lost but I can't be too sorry for Rodgers who made a raging bollocks of the transfer window. Arrive, tell everyone you don't rate Andy Carroll and try and punt him for daft money which you hope to get to spend on others, fail, and then send him on loan so you can moan to the board you haven't got any players. Board tells you to do one, so you haven't got any strikers. That's Rodgers' fault, not anyone else's. He spent the entire summer telling everyone what a haddie Carroll was and how he didn't fancy him and is now made to look an arse. And the failure to buy Clint Dempsey was the only thing standing between Liverpool and a return to past glories? Seriously? Nobody forced Rodgers to spank all that money on Borini who, to be frank, looks like he couldn't score in a barrel of vaginas.

Come on, guys. This is a bit harsh on Rodgers. He wasn't the one who overpaid for Carroll and the final decisions are clearly being made by the front office. All this in consideration, they had a terrible summer in terms of the transfer window. At some point they will snap out of it--with or without Rodgers.

Carroll sucks and the dollar amount paid was a WASTE.

My biggest problem with Carroll is he complains endlessly to the refs. For such a big guy he is pretty soft.

I think Rodgers knew Borini (who looked promising at Roma last year) from Swansea? confused.gif

With the disappearance of Serie A from FSN, they're showing some SPL now - what a difference! Truly jarring, bonecrunching tackles are shrugged off, everyone jumps up and gets on w/ it, no theatrics, no whining - it's like a Serie A bizarro world...

I miss the Serie A on FSN. I have not really watched much of the SPL - I always thought Italian was easier to understand. The bit I have seen of the SPL makes me think '70s English football.

Vidic is out for 8 weeks - not the time for this.

That's a pretty good comparison though.

Fucking City...sleepwalking.

Just got the champions dvd and watched the difference in emotion on the players faces from the start of last season to now. Dzeko scoring the first goal against Swansea, then celebrating like mad, scores the equalizer against QPR first game this year and celebrates with a Balotelli...how they all seem to be celebrating the few goals they score.

La Viola hold Juve! Big Roma/Samp matchup today... bounce2.gif

(& Napoli/Nazio, which of course is what RAI is showing :mad)
