The Chelsea board I lurk speculated that they are trying to make room to pick up Falcao in January by moving on players who are not part of the long term plan.
Maybe the idea is to accellerate oscar's development by giving him all the minutes Raul would have gotten. But that is putting a lot of pressure on Oscar, who would be shifting to a deeper position than he is used to.
I am still sorting this out tbh. I would have kept him.

I really hope falcao doesnt go to chelscum, I realistically would like to see him in an arsenal kit but wengers bitch ass wants to give the money to the board apparently. I would also love to see him at city because he can bench all 4 strikers.

Miereles is decent. Don't know why he'd head off to Turkey so early (only 28 or so, right?) Is Fenerbache in the CL?

Would suspect Abramovich would swoop for Falcao after he singlehandedly decimate his team. Torres better start producing the goods or he'll be heading to russia, turkey, or wherever.

Some people are commenting that he´s not glad that a lot of his teammates (Casillas, Ramos, etc.) are  happy to see Iniesta (a fellow Spaniard and national selection partner of many) win the Best European player award

I've read a ton of rumors today about this. Everything from not wanting to play on the anniversary of his father's death to wanting a contract-for-life at Madrid. Think it's all rather stupid, and if CR7 singlehandedly destroys this season then he's welcome to leave RM.

Possibility of a bust up between he and his fellow Portuguese contingent, particularly Marcelo, for supporting Casillas for PoY over him. Also apparently the disliked Coentrão whispers negatives in his ear. So much crap.

Porto selling to Zenit though... jeez. Complete waste of talent there. Say goodbye to Hulk. Go freeze for half the year in Russia. Completely senile move.

Zenit is also in the CL

Galatasaray is from Turkey but Fener didn't make it through. Mereiles is somewhat of a sociopath, there are better options both young and experienced.

As for CR rumors, well one thing I saw
According to @cadenaser Ronaldo has told Florentino Perez that he wants to leave Real Madrid....
But that account is now wiped clean

Didier is a free agent and so too may Anelka be soon. The sugar daddy of the club is threatening to pull his funds. The funny thing is this is a snapshot of what will happen when it ceases to be trendy for billionaires to have toy clubs and they move on to the next big thing, and crumbling will go the likes of ManCity QPR NottyForrest PSG etc

Madrid better hope the Spanish banks survive and the euro doesn't get them into any more trouble because Perez can only support his ventures with the 0% loans he's getting from his buddies on the inside.

No. Not because he let in too many goals. He dropped his concentration and caused a screw up with Vidic and that is all SAF needs to see. He will be back in --but for now it is the penalty box.

Neither are free agents. The owner of the club is threatening to stop paying wages as a way to gain majority control of the team, or the board, or some such nonsense.

AVB has apparently pissed off new signing Hugo Lloris by saying he would have to fight for a starting spot.

I question whether Lloris is being entirely reasonable here, but I still think AVB should develop a relationship with his new keeper before putting pressure on him in the media. He does not understand that footballers have tender egos.

I doubt he will destroy the season, but this problem is not going away. He wants to attract attention, to pout and to express general angst and feelings of weltschmerz, which is where it will always end with him. It is pathetic to see an adult with so many advantages in life behave like this, but that is the CR7 package. He is a bundle of good and bad that cannot be separated. He will be gone in a year or two I suspect, off to another club that he will treat like he is treating RM.

Mourinho gets like this after being at a club for a while. Soon he will stop feeling the love at Madrid and will begin to pout. Then he will leave. It is inevitable.

"I don't know what's up with Cristiano. It was a surprise for us as much as for you, we found out after the game," Real full back Arbeloa told reporters.

"At Madrid, we are a family and we will support him in any way he needs, just as we would do with Mesut Ozil, Michael Essien or whoever."

Local newspapers and radio stations have been full of speculation about the reasons behind the 27-year-old Ronaldo's apparently calculated outburst.

He was reported to have had a meeting with club president Florentino Perez on Saturday to say he did not feel he had the support of the dressing room, was unhappy and wanted to leave.
Ronaldo himself rejected the idea that he was downcast at losing out to Andres Iniesta for the Best Player in Europe award on Thursday. [lol8[1].gif]

Arbeloa dismissed suggestions that Ronaldo, who is one of the world's best-paid players earning some 11 million euros a year, was seeking an improved contract.

"It's true that Cristiano, like most of us, doesn't have the problems that many Spaniards have, but he will have his reasons for not being at his best and this is reasonable," Arbeloa said.
"I have never heard him talk about money, a longer deal, or wanting to go. I think he'll be here for many years.

"There has been too much made of his words. Maybe he needs more affection from everyone, I don't know, but if that is it, he will receive it from us." [inlove.gif]

Odd for a midfielder, striker, but oh well. Maybe AVB is planning to play him as center back peepwall[1].gif

This reaffirms my man-love for Xabi Alonso.
