Cahill is out of the Euros while Terry will be fit. They are calling up Martin Kelly to replace Cahill. England is screwed.

Why not Samba? I think they'd sooner pair Jageklia w/ Terry than Kelly in center defense, given he's already in the squad.

England will get raped, but all the same...

EDIT: Flurry of goodness yesterday in CONMEBOL WCQualifiers. Messi finally sparking for the albicelestes and Uruguay dropping points in the Centenario. GREAT.

Looking for a big, English centerback = Chris Samba. Didn't have the best season at Anzhi, but Martin Kelly?

jagielka and lescott should start and that would be pretty good back 5 for england but they won't do it of course

glad to see the little flea doing it on the national stage !

I thought Robben was a let down. Had a couple decent assists, but nothing special.

Ibi was great, tho. Played 90 mins and was way better than against Slowakia.

Chris Samba is not anything close to English... He's played for the Congo and was possibly eligible to play for France, but certainly not England.

Mental block. Sorry. Just had flashbacks to Blackburn transfer drama and got wires crossed

Mexico showing Brazil a thing or two right now. Gio's goal was a botched cross, but whatever his the back of the net, I suppose.

kinda pathetic that portugal put out one of its best possible lineups and got taken care of by turkey who hasn't even qualified

U.S. - Canada was a snoozer last night. As soon as I saw the lineup for the U.S. I thought they should put up a few goals. They weren't even close to doing that. They had no creativity in the attack. I only recall one real chance, and that was the header at the end. Canada outplayed them which was quite a shame.

I liked the Canadian centennial jerseys...
