Poland and Ukraine's problems with hooliganism and racism sound very similar to stories of the 70s and 80s in English football and yet we were still allowed to host Euro 96 even with the threat of the IRA. If it were that bad they would ban or warn away fans from going to club matches in those countries or there would be fans killed there but none of that happens.
Not that UEFA give a fuck about anything like that even if it does happen, see Istanbul being awarded the 2005 European Cup final the day after announcing an inquiry into the deaths of Chris and Kev.

I'm not sure I'll ever understand anti-semitism in Eastern Europe. I mean, that whole region was decimated because of how Jewish it was in during WWII (or at least that's how history seems to portray it now). And now? I can understand it against minorities that "look" different, due to skin color, or drastic features (asian/caucasian/latin/etc.), but still think it's foolish.

They won't look at the Russia World Cup at all, they give out £50,000 fines for racist chanting, they don't give a fuck about that nor do they give a fuck about the fans, they have shown that many times in the past 15-20 years when fans have been killed or injured as a result of violence (unless the violence was started by English fans). As for the Jews its only the last 65 years its been socially acceptable to not hate them. Most countries in Europe bear some responsibility for the War.
