Need help with wedding outfit!

Hey guys, I need some help finding a suit for my wedding in September. My fiance and I are getting married on our farm, the actual ceremony and reception will take place in a barn, and the dinner will be outside. I'm looking for a suit that will properly fit the occasion and need some help. I'm in a little over my head so I thought I would turn to people who know much more about this stuff than I do. I would like it to be a three piece and I'm thinking brown or tan in color, other than that I have no idea where to start! For budget reasons I would prefer something off the shelf that I could have tailored to give it a nice fitted look, as opposed to something made from scratch. Anyways, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

do some searching on this site. this type of question is asked probably every day. answers you'll get will be suit supply, kent wang mtm, brooks brothers, thick as thieves, depending on where you live. if you want a brown or tan 3pc, you'll probably have to get it mtm. not that many rtw options in three pieces, much less in brown or tan. also some people will try to convince you to wear navy or charcoal. given the setting i think brown is ok.

Cool, I'll check those places out. I've been searching around on here and have found lots of good info so far. Originally I was going to go with charcoal, but my fiance has suggested brown tones. I'm not sure how technical things get, are there certain things I should definitely avoid in a wedding suit? Certain lapel styles, cut, etc?

Not really anything you have to avoid, especially as you're already going with brown. I think patch pockets on the jacket or something would make it too casual for a wedding. Anything in too bold a pattern would also probably be too casual. But since you're getting married on a farm, it's not like the ceremony is that formal. You're already breaking enough "rules" by wearing brown that it's not going to matter if you have a ticket pocket or not. Although I guess a ticket pocket would be a bit weird, just because the original intention was to carry a train ticket for your ride from city to country, and the idea that you would hop off the train and go straight to your own wedding is a bit odd. But still, it doesn't really matter that much.
