I don't think anything happened to him in the end, might've been a minor. One of my neighbors in high school killed a girl from up the street and also walked free. has a disfigured face to show for it and rode the school bus afterwards, but nothing happened to him.
How many people think Darwin will win vs a guy who calls himself 'junior varsity' ?

+1. So true. I often think that when I see some dickheads racing through traffic in their old, tuned BMWs.

i hate how the older generation tries put themselves on a pedestal and lecture stuff when they themselves probably done irresponsible stuff that could negatively affect others or themselves on other subjects not pertaining to automobile incidents... and if you have never done anything that could negatively affect others or yourself then you are a bubble boy or living under a rock

yes, well, we're the ones who survived our youth. The ones who died along the way aren't here to warn you.

Stop egging him on. He test drove a car. He didn't buy it, he claims to drive an M6. It's probably a high mileage salvage title...

I'm calling you out Junior Varsity. If you're a real capitalist pig and avid spender you'll purchase my Filson bags for $600. Should be pennies to you. When I receive payment i'll vouch for you on this forum, but until then...

Know two kids who were drag racing a few performance vehicles enabled by their parents, busted a car in half that was turning across the road, killed two people and did three years in prison! Find out if Bubba really cares about what you did when he makes you his little bi*ch. Your Queens background couldn't save you there.

I don't see the point in taking the limiter off on a car in America... More so if the car is driven on the streets. Speed limits are low, people can't drive. Occasional 110 MPH run on a flat clear road is enough to land you in jail... 180+ is needless and I can imagine all the shit they can hit you with. I would not be surprised after being nailed you would loose you license for a good year.

I even took a few of my cars to the track and hit the governor at 155 MPH, but I was not racing and really did not care... I personally always wanted a nice sound for when I do hit the gas. So exhaust, headers, and a tune if needed to run correctly (I would leave governor, maybe lower it)... With that said, I have an LS7 sitting in my parents garage pulled from a wreck C6 Zo6 I was going to put in the Trans Am. Like I said, young and stupid.

you have to realize how fast the limiter hits for even a stock car, even when you are in a desert in texas... its mid 12s 1/4 mile and when the v10 is already on the move... theres no replacement for displacement even when compared to GTR's turbo charged 6
on top of that the m6 with MINOR modifications can pump out almost 500whp ...

I understand that... Hence why I said today, I would consider lowering the governor because how fast it can come up. 100 MPH is nothing on an empty road in a Corvette (can hit 60 in first gear) but if I don't realize it the car can slow down before the ticket price is increased and the danger of someone else becomes a risk.

its knowing your environment... and know where the cops hide...
i dont go throttle happy on a road that i dont know
i only go throttle happy when i have studied the road and found out where the cops camp and where i can stretch the beast's legs
i used to go to work everyday at 6-630AM because no ones on the road at that hour and i can flog the car a little and go to work with a huge smile while everyone who reports in at 830 9 comes in with an angry ass face cuz they were in traffic for an hour

i have enough proven experience with driving fast cars and performance driving (i have SCCA trophies on my shelves) to warrant whatever car anyone gives me to drive...
ive never caused an accident in my life and dont have any blemishes on my driving record... not even a red light violation or stop sign

My dad bought himself a Fiat X1/9 not long before I got my driver's license. Shortly after buying it, he went to a junk yard to find some random part (it was a Fiat, after all). The car they pulled it out of had belonged to a high school kid who drove it into a tree and died. It's a mid engine car - it struck the tree head-on on the driver's side, and the car only stopped moving when the tree hit the engine block. My dad put his car up for sale the next day, so I never got to take it out frown.gif

I guess there's no convincing you... I just hope it does not take killing someone to teach you a valuable lesson. Not saying you are going to wreck, but why take the chance?
