I could see where people would have problems with Skyfall, but it's way better than Prometheus.

If this was how you felt after watching the film, why would you bother watching a Bond film at all? Skyfall's script, acting, casting, and pacing were no worse than the majority of other Bond films. And if you disagree, then which film would you hold up as the pinnacle of the franchise?

i like the idea of daniel craig a lot as bond but this was a turd in every sense of the word. i was most looking forward to the opening credits montage with the song and even that was underwhelming. ps fuck adele, the world needs to stop with the obsession already.

No, they were all far, far worse in Skyfall. No other Bond movie I've seen has a plot so absolutely harebrained and dialogue so tortured. The plots may get ridiculous and cheesy at times, but not downright idiotic like Skyfall's was. When one scene has no bearing on the next, it's time to scrap the screenplay and start afresh. But nope, in Skyfall damn near half the movie is tossed out as irrelevant as soon at they're back in the UK. I could write pages about all the mistakes and issues in the movie, but it's not worth my time and it's probably available somewhere on the Internet.

I think 'well, it's a Bond film' is a silly argument as well given that how good one movie is shouldn't have affect how good another is whether they're related or not. But since you asked, I'd say Goldeneye is possibly the best James Bond movie, but that judgment changes every so often.

Skyfall was just alright to me; nothing impressive about it besides the visuals.

Better than Quantum but nowhere as good as Casino. As for comparison with Dr. No. Forget it!

honestly I even preferred Quantum over that one.

the ludicrous plot and the numerous holes and just mashing together of randoms scenes with no continuity...

and then the Western shootout at the end. come on.

It's very frustrating because Casino Royale is one of my favourite movies of all time, and I really like Craig.

For as much as I enjoyed it in the theatres, everyone shouting about plot holes makes me want to see it again as soon as it hits DVD.

the plot holes didn't quite punch me in the face like Prometheus' did, but they were there, and they combined with a script that was pretentious and scenes that jumped from one to the other rather than flowing smoothly.

It was like watching a whole movie made of previews.

struggling to understand why it was and continues to be rated so highly by critics.

I'm amazed the film did so well at the box office. And I like DC very much and enjoyed the last two films
