As a collector I'd love to get my hands on an L102A1, and there are some in private hands here in the States, but being in California I must first find some hoops, pay for some other other hoops, and finally make up some hoops of my own, then jump through them all in order to get one. 

I saw 4 movies during Thanksgiving weekend ( Life of Pi, Twilight, Lincoln) and Skyfall is by far the most entertaining of all 4

just saw it. fairly underwhelming. no real coherence in the plot and Javier Bardiem was completely unbuyable as a villain.

Eh - I think you expect too much from a Bond film then. I thought it was easily top 3. The plot was nonsense, but Bond films have always been about mood and style, and this one delivered in spades.

I liked (not loved) Bardem as a villain - the agent left to die who was tortured into insanity with lots of mother issues. I could have skipped the hackneyed homosexual bits of his act which is a bit tired and played out... I understand that Bond is a very physical type of agent, but Bardem just seems slow and somewhat ponderous at times.

It was good but I enjoyed Casino Royale much more. Bond girl needed much more screen time as well

Casino Royale was the best Bond movie of all time. (And Eva Green the best Bond girl ever.)

Opening scene and credits were The stalk in Shanghai and the cinematography there was cool.

Steadily downhill from there. The evidence that led him to Shanghai was utter nonsense. Ultra rare bullet used by three men in the world? LMAO. Very discreet and logical. Didn't think to analyze the bullet until Bond conveniently pulls some superficial shrapnel the idiot surgeon missed? The plot that emerged had holes bigger than Bond's collar gap. The second half

The spycraft in the scene at SkyFall was good but I like to see some Bond gadgets.
The ironic transmitter was so stupid. It would be found in the first pat down by any moron let alone archsupervillain Silva. Except Silva wanted to be caught and so ignored it and Q knew that so made it big on purpose?? Rubbish.

I would like to keep the gadgets to a minimum. The camo Aston Martin was just dumb and this is where the path to gadgets leads. They should have just built the transmitter into the watch - opportunity of product placement and non-ridiculous transmitter in one.

Plus Silva just pwns the new Q using his own invented algorithms - totally ridiculous.
