A Fine Pair of Shoes x Alfred Sargent MTO Thread - Page 63

I also agree with the opinion about AFPOS, without their sizing advises I would never buy the correct size.

Have to say that my Bensons fit very good after 2 days of home breaking-in (at start they were too snug).

Just arrived from AFPoS. Excellent service and the fastest Delivery in the world. Overnight from England to Denver, guaranteed by 10:30 am. Keep them busy gentlemen! .

I am hooked on this last. Most of you know I have one of the largest personal shoe collection in the world. Finally, I have found the best fitting last for my high instep. This is my second pair of Radwell. They fit so well, I am not sure if AS will discontinue them at some point, hence 2 pairs.

This is by far the best fitting last (724) for chukka boots.

Great news that the delivery went as planned and our pleasure looking after you!!

I'm still scratching my head over the design of this boot. The wingtip is too short IMO. I wonder how/why a "southwold" style wingtip was implanted rather than a normal short wing

Had the exact same thought as you when I first saw them but they've grown on me. It's the only pair I have that's has that shorter wingspan so it's a nice change.

I think they're stunning: the unusual shorter wing makes them somehow stronger, more "boot-like", by emphasising the breadth of the forefoot, while the extended chisel toe keeps it all elegant.  I think this boot is a masterpiece, personally.

I saw it done prior with a short wing traditionally and I liked the change of having it even shorter.

Namor do you rock yours often or no?

It's unique, and it stands out which makes the boot look different but in a good way.

All I know is this is one MTO I wish I hadn't missed.

I've got the Edward Green Galways, but I still wished I hadn't missed this MTO.

It's possible that may soon change.
