Put my order in for the Miller.

We are at 2 with possibly three more pending.

Here is a post I threw over to Ask Andy that has some pics to suggest what we were thinking

Hi,

Some folks have been working up a special order for an Alfred Sargent Exclusive Balmoral boot through A Fine Pair of Shoes.

Here are the details

Last 724
Dark Cognac Shell/Walnut Pebble grain shaft
Austere wingtip. No brogueing anywhere on the boot.

Here is the order link
http://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/collections/alfred-sargent-exclusive-collection-price-asc/products/alfred-sargent-exclusive-miller-balmoral-boot-in-cognac-cordovan-mto

You can read up on the order and the process. We have two orders in and three more possibly on the way. We need a total of six to start production.

Color should be close to this G&G Wigmore in a style reminiscent of the EG Shannon V

The price point is great for a shell boot. If you haven't seen the AS Exclusive line, they do a nice job.

4 months so October at the latest. Perfect bal boot weather. Our timing couldn't have been better

I can always find room for shell bal boots.

Can I take the credit for planting the pebble idea? smile.gif

Will get my order in tomorrow after my crazy morning rush.

its yers. I love that our boot wasnt an exact copy of another boot already in existence. Itll be a totally unique boot and I can only imagine how great it'll look. Its like waiting for baby! (never had a baby)

Personally I think it brings a nice combination of the pebble inspiration of your G&G Wigmore and the more recent wingtip patterns of AS' balmoral boot.

Also, regarding the 'shaft' term:
299

I think it is also called 'quarter' in other descriptions
