Hair cut question

I wanted to start getting my hair cut at home so I could save a little money, so I went out and bought Conair Champion. (cheapest clippers haha) So usually I get a number 0 on the sides and a 1 on top, but opening up the box I found it only goes down to 1. At first I thought the number 0 might be without a guide, so I tried it on my beard after getting my hair cut professionally, but what came out seemed too short comapred to the hair on my sides and there was barely anything left. Ive been too scared to just try it on my hair, so I wanted to ask if anyone knows about this...

Different companies have different sizings for their clipper attachments. You might want to check their website (or the store you bought the clippers from) and see if you can get the attachment you need.

A "0" is probably a 1/16" clipper as a "1" is usually a 1/8" clipper (at least that's what my Wahls and Andis are). You may be able to get universal clipper covers from Andis or Wahl if Conair doesn't offer them. You may have to go one step further and contact Conair directly. They might not make a "0" or 1/18" attachment for your clippers. I don't know much about Conair. I would say that Wahl or Andis (maybe oster?) are the best and probably offer more in terms of accessories and choice. I'm not saying Conair was a bad choice, I just don't know anything about them nor have I ever used them. You could also use a "1" all over and have someone trim the sides with shears or just head to a barber. They are usually very inexpensive and might be worth the extra couple of bucks to save you the hassle.

huh? a zero is just that, no guide. it's pretty short, almost like stubble.

Here is an example of an Andis Clipper with a "0" attachment (which is 1/16"). Not all companies have it but some do.
